I hope we get some teams to sign up. With Mutiny coming out that weekend for practice, and the HB event just around the corner, 7man teams should come out in full force (either for the tournament or just a practice session).

I'm optimistic that we'll be able to hold 7man outside that day/weekend. Keep our fingers crossed for dry days.

The GLS series is going to be a ton of fun this year .... I can't wait to attend one of their events AND HOST ONE!!!

They have added three fields this year: Fox Paintball in Illinois, Paintball Plex in Indiana, and TCP in Ohio. I have put teams in tournaments at Fox and TCP and can say they both run a first class operation.

I'm going to attend the 7/11/10 event at colors and want to put a team in the Rookie/Novice AND the Open class for that day. The Rookie/Novice should be similar to our "D5" so I'll make that a prize for a upcoming Plex 5man tournament (to be released later). The open team is TBD at this time.

Check out their website and make sure you make plans to attend some of the GLS events (Plex events will be on 7/25 and 10/30 .... finals at the plex on 10/31).

for the players that haven't really looked this series over just look at the prizes/payout and you can see that these fields are really trying to do what they can for the players.
this series has draw'n players that you have only seen in magazines or video's, so if you want a shot at the big boys or just want to see them in action, this is your chance and not have to fork over a ton to do it.
i would like to thank mike and the plex for joining the GLS and hosting a couple events and for taking the challenge of hosting the nationals.

Open play will start at 2pm and run until 7pm. Because of the shorter session we're running a 50% off special (entry will be $7.50 and rental packages will be $17.50). The setup will be like other Sundays ..... one 5man or 7man field and one 3man or 5man field.

If you follow the link in the very first post of this thread it will show you how many teams are registered and what division they are playing.

I would like to know a layout also.

This Sunday's tournament will be inside. Captains mtg at 9am, first game at 9:30am.

We need 4 more 7man teams by this Thursday to hold that division.

5man is at 8 and 3man is at 4 ..... based on history 3man and 5man will fill at 12 teams each or at least hit 20 teams between the two divisions. 3man and 5man will happen for sure.

The layout will be posted by the end of the week.

TEAMS: FYI -

THIS IS FOR 3MAN AND 5MAN PRACTICE - INSIDE

We will have both tournament fields setup inside from 4pm - 7pm on Saturday..... they will be the actual layout of the tournament. Each field will be different - layout should be worked out by friday.


7MAN INFO - DUE TO A LACK OF TEAMS WE WILL CANCEL THE 7MAN OPEN TOURNAMENT. WE WILL HOWEVER BE HOLDING 7MAN PRACTICE (HB LAYOUT) ON SATURDAY 3PM-7PM AND SUNDAY 10AM - 6PM (OUTSIDE FIELDS). SEE OUR PRACTICE THREAD FOR DETAILS.
