i watched Fas and the furious, but what really got me into cars was GT3, that game is badass, but the good thing about that game is it doesnt just focus on rice cars, they have cars from everywhere, and they have every style of racing, i love the rally cars, when im older and actually have enough for a new car im getting somthing i can use for off road too
WRX, what kinda car is that? im hoping its not the subaru, i know there was a thread about one in this forum, im gonna go look at it

You guys don't get it...
TF&TF made tuning cars a "trend" to most of the peoples who didn't know much about cars.
So most people who don't know ***** slapped on cherry bombs and fat rims that probably only took away horsepower to the rims. And right when things are starting to get a little calmer and slower progressing to go back to normal, they're releasing a sequel, which again will make tuning cars a trend again.
And I means, after that movie all the stupid people(which there are a lot of) were going "MAN TOYOTA SUPRAS ARE AWESOME! THEYRE BETTER THAN FERRARI's!"
It was so annoying to sit through my Auto Tech class when we watched the fast and the furious, kids making their favorite company toyota cause the supra smoked the ferrari.
What they don't get is that a ferrari isnt a drag racer. but oh well.
but those are the kind of stupid azz things that the movie did. I guess it "helped" the import world by making more "souped" up cars.... even when most of them arent necessarily fast.

were you calling me a poser?
ive never heard a poser say that, i can prove to you that ive been into imports since before the movie and you are right, the movie did change alot of magazines, mostly for the worse(in my opinion). in alot of magazines, the focus used to be on who was the fastest and now it seems like, the only thing some people care about is how good a car looks. for me, looks come long after performance. in my opinion cars that look good but are slower than my bicycle are really ghey.

lol, your right about the supra thing, everybody started thinking they were the best, and i bet after 2 comes out whatever car smokes the other cars will be the new trend
lol, driving back from the lake today i saw some guy with a license plate RICEMAN, at first i thought he was chinese because he was driving a old model dodge ram, american car, doesnt make sense to me, why get those license plates on a dodge, put the RICEMAN on your rice rocket, and put somthing else on the ram

Does anyone have any pics of the wrx?
I don't think F&F did any real damage to anything. I know after i saw it in the theater my urge to race people on the highway was really high. I did put a cone air filter in my car to but I needed to replace the stock one anyway.

I think you guys hate the Fast And the Furious because you think you know a lot about cars, and when you think you have a lot more knowledge about something that is now becoming more and more popular, you act arrogant...
I hate people who think they are better than everyone else. Ive been into cars my entire life, way before Gran Turismo, way before the fast and the furious..
I personally thought it was a good movie.. if you know a lot about cars you knew how sweet that Supra was.. hell how sweet that Eclipse even was

Here's what and article had to say:
Diesel Won't Fuel Furious Sequel
Universal balks at Diesel's asking price for The Fast and Furious 2.
April 29, 2002 - According to a report in today's Variety, actor Vin Diesel will not be reprising his role as Dominic Toretto in The Fast and the Furious 2. Due to what looks like salary and budget-related issues, Universal broke off talks with Diesel last week and has opted to build the film around Paul Walker's character Brian O'Conner instead. No Diesel also means no Rob Cohen. The director of the original said he'd only return if Diesel were involved. Cohen and Diesel recently reteamed for the urban secret agent flick xXx.
The trade reports that Diesel asked for a $20 million payday on the new film – he was paid $2.5 million for the original. The deal would also have upped his pay on the Pitch Black sequel, The Chronicles of Rid****, from $12.5 to $20 million. Universal balked at the proposal and is betting on Walker, who is currently filming Richard Donner's Timeline, to carry the film on his own.
Fast and Furious 2 will focus on Walker's cop character who is stripped of his badge and must infiltrate the Miami street racing circuit to redeem himself. Shooting is currently set to begin in October.
Universal Pictures chairman Stacey Snider commented on the decision to Variety, "We feel the brand of this film is attitude, cars and hip casting, and that it is not dependent on star casting. We always allocate resources to extend brands, but this wasn't really on my creative radar because it's so hard to create sequels that are better than the originals. You always expect a torturous development process, but [screenwriters Michael] Brandt and [Derek] Haas turned in a bang-up first draft that provides a great intro for Paul. ... They wrote modular stories, one that could have gone with Dominic Toretto (Diesel) and one without him."
On The Chronicles of Rid**** front, the film is still on schedule and won't be affected by the Furious 2 maneuvers. Currently, Universal has Akiva Goldsman (A Beautiful Mind) rewriting the film's screenplay. It is expected to start filming later this year.

poor poor impreza, there should be laws against it, they had to paint everything didnt they, couldnt just leave it alone. it would be cool if he has a 4 door civic sleeper in the next movie, well if there was no sequel that would be cool to.
