This replay not working on the Tfx may be the breaking point for me. Also the speed feed opening is tiny. The r2 is leading for me

A buddy of mine modded his TFX speedfeed with the guts from the good spring loaded Virtue SF...

He said it didn't take much to do, peeled the HK SF apart, then glued in the Virtue parts.

I can attest to the fact that it's the bomb when you do that.

I will have to dig my R7 out of my bag and mount it, I didn't play with it this weekend (and wish I had, I had an awesome clutch run in one point where I ended up behind their last guy who was hunting downfield for me and I popped him in his i4s).

/edit: Just ordered another Virtue SF on Amazon. Two day shipping and I have two of the TFX speedfeeds (the one that came with it was some red/purple abortion so I replaced it with a black and grey one), the brightly colored one will be cut up and modded with the Virtue parts.

I'll post pics as I work, I think.

Yeah but the size of the hole will remain tiny. It's like I'm using a rotor all over again!

picked up an I4 with some craigslist stuff, i wont be keeping it, that is a mask of pain and suffering.. it fits my face exactly, as long as i never open my mouth.. and the side parts actually touch my jaw/cheeks when i flick it to simulate a ball hitting, i can feel the impact radiate throughout my whole cheek.. big ol can of nope..

and the suffering, because it lacks breathability, and where i play you need all that you can get, or you feel like you are going to hyperventilate, i learned that lesson when the vents first came out.. never again will i wear a mask with that little of venting

The hole opening is the same with either speedfeed from what I can tell.

Yeah, but it was waaaayyyyy easier to load with the Virtue SF, due to the design of the speedfeed.

Either way the opening size isn't a deal breaker for me, it's pretty similar to the Rotor imo.

/edit:

Tracker, as far as i4s, I agree completely on the size. If they made the darned things a LITTLE bigger they'd be awesome.
I never had the issue with the breathing, but I definitely noticed the lack of chin coverage.

Someone who is i4 smart told me you're supposed to play with your head/chin down with the i4, and they took into consideration that everyone wears some sort of "head game" (ie, beanies, sandanas) so they didn't integrate any forehead protection into the design.

It is supposed to be the smallest mask on the market for size of target purposes, which is why they've never made a larger version like Virtue did for their VIO.

Bleh, w/e. I tried them and did the chin down thing and it does work, but it's just something else to remember. I went to e-flex (see my avatar pic < ) but the darned things are just HUGE, so I settled on the grill as a nice compromise.
It fits my face like a second skin, covers my entire chin and side of my jawline, and the lens design (while it looks smaller) gives me 99% as much peripheral vision as the eflex/i4 did.
Plus because your face is close to the vents in the front, the hot air is forced directly out rather than having a chance to sit in the mask and get into your lens.
I've never had any of my grill masks (I've had 3x different ones) fog, even on 95+ degree humid days.

My theory on the HK speedfeed is that its actually an hk rotor 1 speedfeed being used under that lid. I noticed the small holes underneath which look just like the rotor ones. I dont feel like tearing my r1 apart to check but Ill just about bet on it.

Therefore it will be the same sized tiny hole as the r1!!! (I always hated how small it was)

E-flex line in the lenses really annoyed me. The grillz solid mouthpiece echos if you ask me. I also sweat a lot and when I get in in my eyes my contacts burn like a mofo so Im all in with JTs but I havent actually used a grillz.
