Intimiator body puncture fix guide

So here it is save your self some dough and time by using it if you thought your body is ruined. peace

This is what occurs the front grip frame screw punctures through the body causing a leak. Hole size may vary but this is how to fix the problem generally speaking. Use Jb weld to fill in the hole.

Parts needed: JB weld found at local hardware store
Q-tips
+ the tools needed to take apart your timmy
maybe a dremel depends

My timmy was all busted up when I got it had the puncture wound from its previous owner. Break your marker down so only the body is left. Clean the area you will be working on.

Here is where the hole is. Usually you can tell by looking on the inside of the body and visually see where the aluminum was damaged or you can use a flash light to see where it is damaged by shinning light through the hole.

The JB weld will be found at any hardware store for cheap its only 5 dollars or less just go in look in the glue section or ask someone for it. JB is a 2 part epoxy paste that you have to mix just lay down 2 lines on a piece of cardboard and mix it together you will not need very much for this only about an inch of each will be pleanty. I tore the cotton off one end of the qtip and mixed the JB with it and also appplied it with the same end. Once its mixed just kind of twist the qtip and get some JB on the end not to much only enough to seal the hole. try not to get the JB on the threads of the hole aim to put the JB down at the bottom of the hole and not pack the hole full of JB. Your screw still needs to fit in there.

What I did was put JB weld at the bottom of the leaky hole and used my grip frame screw to even the JB weld into a nice flat surface and to push the JB through the hole. Only screw the screw in until you fill some resistance on it then pull it back out. Wipe the excess off the threads with a Q-tip and use a paper towel to clean off the screw. Leave it to set for about a day. Make sure the body is level when the jb is curing . Although it takes less time for the jb to cure better safe than sorry.

After the JB weld is set there will be excess that harden inside the body of your marker. I used a dremel and just shaved it down until it was smooth. You could use a small file or you may not even have to do it at all. That is only if the excess JB weld inside the body does not obstruck the popet movement at all !

THats it folks Lmk what needs to be changed and yes I know I am wordy

THANK YOU. I will be doing this tomorrow to save from having to send this to BLAST. After putting it all back together, did you use any washers on the front screw to make sure it didnt puncture it again?

Is it really that significant ? If you only get the JB on the inside of the screw hole then it will not be on the outside body. The inside is not that big of a deal bc the bolt wears the ano off the body in a place you can see it. This will only leave a little spot on the inside of the lp chamber.

Glad I could help you out. I used the same screw but I put a small oring on the screw to make sure it did not come loose( I used the oring that goes on the tip of the ram). I was causes not to over tighten it you know the saying tight is tight. Good luck

Well i did it, and it came out good, but i have another leak some where. Rather than spending all this time trying to fix it im just sending it to blast or go ahead with parting it out.

IThe thing with it not being able to be anooed. You would have to dissolve it before you could anodize the metal. JBweld gone, gun leaks again.

Mikey, the grip frame scres are much further forward than the ramsleeve reaches. Also, it might not be a good idea to put the ramsleeve in there. Because having it cemented into the gun isn't the best idea...

not sure about that crystal epoxy just read the package or bottle to see if it bonds to metal or not but as far as the ram sleeve thing goes just leave it out and push the epoxy through the inside of the screw hole then file the excess smooth after it sets on the inside of the body

Also degrease every where you want the JB Weld to stick with alcohol. A little grease in the threads will keep the JB from sticking in them and will clean right out after it's dry.
