You could save that body and let a skilled machinist hold on to it for awhile.
And said machinist can try to duplicate more copies of it for more possible projects, but they'll be available for purchase for everyone.
Unless that's illegal of course.

Heck, if I had extra cash at the moment I would buy it. Then Cliff would be really pissed with me sending it to him with the crazy milling pattern I have in my head for it.

Ok, so bottom line....how much do you want for it?
Apparently I could interest cs900 in carving on it for me. Although I am thinking of a zero window model and I think cs900 is very pro window.

Pretty sure the dimensions would be marked down or duplicated if one of the skilled machinists on here got it in their hands.

I have the original solidworks file for the blank on a hdd somewhere. If I happen to find it, I'll post it. I thought it was already in the public domain but I don't remember.

How do you just randomly end up with a blank body... Or the original solidworks file for the blank body?

Guys, if there was enough demand (ehh...*actual* demand) I wouldn't have any trouble selling blank bodies to those that are apt to do with them what they will. It doesn't seem like there's much interest from the customizing community though, at least that's the impression I get from the parts I sell currently.
The measurements for the bodies were originally copyrighted but the legalities of that are very vague. Nobody was allowed to use the official CAD files for anything else, but whose to say what came from where anymore. Myself I've declassified some things (team board instructions, etc) but none of that were actual production files of course...
