Game variations

I know there are a few posts with game variants already, but I wanted to organize and make it a bit more instructional. We'll try for a format.

Name of game variant:
Optimum number of players:
Field type: speedball, woodsball, etc
Rules:
And any other important stuffyou can think of.

Even for the basic games, post it if it hasn't been posted already. The basic rules may inspire people to make up games of their own.

Name: Team tag
Optimum # of players: more than 4 less than 8 any more than that this game can last for a long time.
Rules: Everyone starts on their own team. anyone who you mark is on your team. The game is over once everyone is on the same team.
Additional Info: TO speed the game up a little bit start with two teams.
this is a good game because everyone plays til the end. its makes a great game to play as the last game of the day due to the amount of time it can take. It is a good idea to have people start in different areas of the field.

Name of game: Terminator
Number of peeps:5-12 (roughly)
Type of field: Any
Rulesne guy is the Terminator (or more depending on the number of players, figure one Terminator per 4 guys on the other team) and everyone else is on the other team. Start on opposite sides of the field and play a normal game. The only way a Terminator is eleminated is if he gets hit on the head. Anywhere else doesn't count.

Varients:
1: Head shots don't count for terminator, he is only out when he calls himself out (normally after getting hit a bazillion times in succession)
2: Any player on the opposite team that the terminator takes out goes to the terminators starting point and is now a terminator. It makes the game last a little longer and kind of helps balance things out towards the middle of the game.

It's pretty sweet becasue if you're the Terminator you can just hang your marker out the side of a bunker and keep firing. Just have to make sure to keep your head back. Dude, my marker, hopper, and body was covered in paint today when we played, but is was so much fun.

Just in...

I just thought of this game last night. Ok
3 or more players

OK everyone starts at different corners, no teams. There is sumthng in the middle of the field with two flags. Every player has a station where they start at.

Objective: To get all two flags at your station. You can only carry one flag at a time. You can steal from other stations.

Outs: You get get shot two or three times which ever the players decide on. If you get shot you must drop the flag where you are, NO CHEATING!

Tell me whatcha think. I gotta run. Later!

Drew

P.S. anyone have any suggestions on games for three players?

meand my friends made up a game, its called VIP

Players:Minimum of 3 on each side (plus 1 VIP), so total of at least 7 players
Field Type:Woodsball
Rules divide into even teams, one guy is VIP and has to wear orange vest or something, crate target area at least 300 ft away from where team with VIP starts. Other team guards the target area. Team trys to take VIP to target area with out being hit. VIP has no gun, or he could have a paintball pistol. Game is real fun

Here is a fun one: we call it "EGG HUNT"

Number of players: at least 4, the more the better, but you need enough eggs.

Field type: you can play wherever you want; it works best in an open area with some cover.

Set up: to start off you need to fill plastic Easter eggs with paintballs, no more than 3 per egg (have empty eggs too) the number of eggs usually should be like 10 per person playing. Hide the eggs in the playing area, if you want to, have someone who is not playing hide them.

Rules: everyone starts off with no paintballs. Play till one man is left standing.

This gets really fun, because you are looking for the eggs, and need to watch out for the other players, because you don't know who has paintballs.

heres one that me and my friends made up.. its pretty phat but doesnt have a name but here it is. What we do is have a night game. We hook everyone with a flash light and then the game starts. Well what happens is one team has to protect the flag from the on coming poeple that are trying to get it. the poeple that are protecting could only go so far to look for the poeple that are trying to get the flag. So one team starts deep in the woods and they can go any where and do anything to get the flag. and thas how it is.

Some rules to it is all flash lights on guns have to be parallel to the ground. have to be visible for all poeple to see.
Get hit your out.
Capture the flag your team won.
thats basicaly it

Name of game variant: BlackJack
Optimum number of players: 6 and up - the more, the better!
Field type: speedball
Rules: each player can use whatever marker they choose, but can only load 21 balls into the hopper. No borrowing, begging, or stealing. When your 21 shots are done, or you get smacked, you're out. It's kind of a fun alternative. Angels and Trracers are on more of an equal ground with limited ammo.

Looking back through the mists of time and through our long traditions here in Redding California. We played back in the manzaneda bushes and poison oak behind our house. We played with wrist rockets and shot each other form an average of 0-15 feet away. Using 50 paintballs in three hours was considered, very "trigger" happy. Oh course, playing with guns was too expensive and you could actually spend 10 whole dollars on paintballs!
We played if you got hit you just kept on playing and we didn't stop until we had to go home. Those games would last for a few house at a time.
Another aspect I look back on is the fact that we only wore safety goggles or just sunglasses. ( The safety goggles covered up your eyes only)
Yes, those days are passed, now with our Spyder Compact 2000's and our Tippmann 98's we still play out behind our house. But now we play with actual paintball masks and we play one hit and you're out. I still have my wristrocket....well anyway just a little "flash-from-the-past"

Thumbs up Medic!!!

NAME: Medic
PLAYERS: 8 (4 on 4)
TYPE: Speedball
RULES: Each team has a designated medic wearing an arm band (can be found at some surplus stores). Everyone including the medic is armed. When someone is hit, they stop where they are and yell out "medic," and their teams' medic has to try and reach them to bring them back into the game. REAL FUN game, especially when one teams' medic gets killed (no way of bringing back a medic).
NOTE: Be sure your teams' medic is the most athletic and without fear!

Name: Traitor
Players: At least 8. The more the better though.
Extra things needed: a deck of cards.

How to play: Im going to say there are 10 people playing in this example, just to make it easier to explain. Split the teams to be even, or as close to even as possible. If the team has 5 people, make sure you have one king, one jack, and three other random cards (besides another king/jack). Each person draws a card from those 5. The person who draws the king is the "captain" of the team. NO ONE BUT THE CAPTAIN IS TO SHOW ANYONE ELSE HIS CARD. The player who draws the jack is the traitor. No one is to know this except him. The object of the game is to eliminate the other teams "captain". As an example; Red team draws the cards (Blue does the same. both teams have traitors). Johnny pulls the jack. Well, he still goes with red and plays against blue, but at any time he wishes, he can shoot and eliminate the captain and anyone and everyone else on the red team, because since he is the traitor he is really playing for blue/

Sounds confusing, but holy ****, it makes for a GREAT game.

One time way back when there was a cool Easter game. They got those big plastic eggs like hundreds of them. They put about 5-10 paintballs in each one and scattered them around the field. Each team started out with no paintballs and would have to find the eggs to get paintballs. Kind of like a paintball easter egg hunt. It was fun 4 yrs back, I think it still would be fun on a wood type field.

i still like the civil war thing.
name:civil war
number of players: 2-2000 (2000 would be sweet)
field: open with little or no cover
game: you can bring as much paint onto the field as you want but you can't load more than one at a time. away to stop people from cheating is no hoppers. well basicly you divide into even teams and you run at eachother and shoot 30 bpm.
variations: speedo ball, nude ball, (ok maybe a not so great idea) were cilvil war clothes, or you could have hoppers and 20 pods and you could shoot as much paint as you could and just have a great time. (not responsible for a hopper full of welts if you do the last one)

Fox and Hound:

Players: 5+ players
1 fox
the rest are hounds

Field: heavily wooded area

Game: The fox hides anywhere within the designated limits that are set before the game, he/she has 10 minutes to hide. When the 10 minutes are up, the hounds, however many there are, go out and search for the fox. The fox may move any time (trust me its better if you stay still). If 3 minutes goes by and the fox has not been found the game is called (thats more because it gets boring if you have nobody moving or shooting).
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Tank assault:

Players: 10+
4 or more in the tank (yeah, you gotta have some kinda tank for this)
all the rest are randomly positioned by their choice

Field: Need some kind of trail the tank can travel on, either wooded or open field on the sides

Game: The tank travels along the trail. The other players are set up along the trail, positioned by their own free will. Only specific players can carry grenades, usually assigned before the game while the tank is being set up. The tank can only be eliminated by a actual paint grenade (none of this card crap) in, on or under the tank. The players inside the tank can or cant be eliminated by choice before the game, usually we make the driver invincible but also unable to carry weapons. If all gunners are eliminated on either side the game is over. If the tank does end up reaching the end before being grenaded, then the game is over. If a grenade hits the tank from a player who is dead, it still counts.
