Yeah, I had a 78 280z, never got to do much that I wanted to it except DD it. Traded cars with my gf's uncle cause I needed a 4 door. It blew up so I junked it, and bout a 1990 integra 4 door. Blew up its engine (the engine was junk anyways) swapped it for one with 1200miles on it, then blew up its transmission (pretty spectacularly too, the shaft holding the spider gears in the diff gave out, and the spider gears exploded out of the case)
put in a new transmission, and broke the 5th gear selector hub, locking it in 5th gear, and finally swapped in a GOOD transmission from a buddy of mine.
Then I bought a built head for the turbo engine I want to build, and the timing belt slipped not even 5 miles of driving it. Bent EVERY valve in the head. Pulled the head off and it didn't do any damage except knock some carbon build up and the bent valves. ripped out all the supertech black nitride valves for some stock ones, buttoned it all back up, and I've been driving it for the past few days without issues.
Plans are to find a good short block, sleeve it to 84mm (just under 2.0L) put my built head on it, and run a GTX3067R turbo on E85 (probably should hit about 20psi+) I'm shooting for about 450-500hp and massive torque from 4000-8000rpm
DD it at 15lbs of boost so I don't blow it up lmao.
The bottom end will have enough money dumped into it to make it handle 600+hp, but keeping the non-vtec head will keep it from going that high. Vtec is over-rated. A properly built turbo non-vtec engine makes awesome power for a DD.
TL;DR I ****ed around with my integra so much that I'm a car builder now lmfao
