alrighty well certain barrels are threaded differently the GoG Extcy is Ion threads if im not mistaken so if you buy a barrel buy one that says ion threads the cp two piece barrels are great but pricey a one piece would be a good way to go cuz a two piece is for having different barrel backs that are different sizes so that you can size your paint to your barrel, and proflexes are a good cheap mask but if you want a little higher end the dye i4's or the Sly profits are good

In the description of the GOG it says "standard smart parts barrel thread"

Are those Ion compatible?

And Im guessing that the GOG comes stock with a 12in. barrel? If so, would there be a noticable difference between that and a 14in. barrel in accuracy and distance? Or would it create more drag and slow the ball down? Any information on barrel length and results would be great.

This is the package that I would get. If you buy it from here, you get a free upgraded board with the Excty. Like the guy above said, Excty is an Ion threaded barrel.

Standard Smart parts barrel thread is the same as Ion thread.

yep well he hit the nail on the head that would be a perfect package and close to your price range and idk the details but 14in is pretty standard it would come with 12... probably but 14 is preferred by most

Thanks a lot neo2000, and that hopper is a qood quality product? Im just wondering because it is about half the price of the halo...is the halo that much better or is it all fairly close? And probably a very simple question, but what is a loader shield? On that hopper it asks if I want the loader shield for $20

In my opinion that hopper is better than the Halo... I had a Halo and had constant problems with it jamming. I'm rocking a Vlocity now and love it... and $40 is the sale price, original cost is much higher.

And a quick question about compressed air tanks, I notice that on the aluminum tanks that there are a few that say high pressure output and low pressure output. I see that all the aluminum tanks are rated at 3000(psi im assuming) but some do have the different pressure output. What are the differences between the two?

Upgraded boards are much more configurable. They have more modes and allow you to set how many balls per second you shoot. This is very important if you ever play in any tournaments that have limits. They also make the resale value of the gun higher.

Aluminum compressed tanks come in high pressure (850psi output) and low pressure (450 or so). For mechanical guns, you need the high pressure output tanks because they require the higher pressure to operate. Pneumatic electric guns however only need 200 psi or less (which is why they shoot smoother), so the regulator on the gun lows the pressure from the tank. For electric guns, you can get high or low, it really doesn't matter. A few high end electric guns require low, but getting a high pressure tank is more usable for multiple guns.

Aluminum tanks are always 3000psi and carbon fiber tanks are 4500psi. Carbon fiber tanks can hold more pressure which equates to more shots per tank. However, you have to have access to a place that fills up to 4500psi. Scuba shops only fill to 3000psi. Paintball fields fill to 4500psi but most have unlimited air options, so more shots per tank doesn't really matter.

Don't worry about asking questions, just pass the knowledge forward so we can grow this great sport

Congrats man, you'll love it. For the hopper, read the manual because there are a lot of different settings that can be changed dependent on your needs. Faster settings use more battery, slower settings conserves battery. You won't need that thing feeding at full speed unless you want to empty a hopper in 10 seconds.

This isn't a B/S/T thread.
But look into 07 egos..you can find them for $300-$350. Very good markers.

IIRC, oxy acetylene welding uses a highly concentrated oxygen source. I have never heard of someone using this, and I wouldn't recommend it.

Yeah the tanks are pure oxygen and thats where i'm not sure if it would work for compressed air. I hear that scuba tanks can be used to fill bottles and I know those arent pure oxygen.....and I would like to be able to fill bottles myself so if I could get any information of what the compressed air bottles are filled with and how they are filled that would be great.

Most places to my knowledge use atmosphere to fill tanks up with expensive compressors ($4000+) that allow the high pressure fills. As for filling your own tanks yourself, you could go the route of using scuba tanks and a fill station adapter, such as the Ninja brand fill station which runs like 40 dollars, to fill your tanks. You would have to run the tanks to your scuba shop to fill but would allow you to fill up where ever you play.

Here's a link for the fill station.
