I wish I'd had more time with him.

That's awesome my grandpa worked on bombers in Vietnam and he's what got me into rc kinda why I completly set it aside when he passed. I'm reading his book now basically his autobiography just started few weeks ago going to take me a while..

My grandpa was in the korean war. I would have never known it if my mom didn't tell me about it. I know that he had a buddy die and that's about it.

My maternal grandfather never spoke of his time in WWII either. It was not until the last years of his life that he revealed little bits. He was in the infantry and walked into some of the concentration camps. Now we understand why he did not want to talk about what he saw.

X-Men was pretty good. I consider it one of the better ones of the series.

Capt America 2>Xmen>Spiderman 2

The new Xmen is a winner, it ties up loose ends, does the fan base a lot of service and freshens up the characters and storyline

Speaking of grandfathers, I've had the occasion to have had three, all of whom served during WW2. Mom remarried. Mom's dad was a sergeant in the Army, stationed in California with a training unit. He'd wanted to go to Europe, but he'd lost an eye as a child in an accident, so he did what he could. My father's dad was a paratrooper in the 101st. He missed D-Day, but jumped into Holland. The story goes that he and a buddy both left their gas masks behind on the jump, and instead carried bottles of bourbon in the mask bags. When they got on the ground, they both pulled out the bottles. And then Dad's dad was in the Navy, chronicled on Page 1.

I haven't seen captain america 2 yet, and I have only seen the ****ty tobey maguire spiderman movies. I did like the first captain america though. Captain america has always been one of my favorite comic book characters.

Both of my grandparents on my dad's side were in WW2. My grandfather was a cryptologist and decoded hidden messages used by the germans. He never went over to Europe though. My grandmother was nurse and was over seas. She was actually one if the nurses at Normandy. Both are still alive and in there late 90's. My grandmother actually has two big photo albums of the time when she was over seas with dates and handwritten descriptions of where she was for each picture.
