The Chicago airport is where it was stolen. This is a one of one gun that should be quite easy to spot as it is the only powder coated TWISTR in the world, on top of that the only one that changes colors.

Geeez I hope the low life that snatched it gets dealt with. I doubt it will turn up in Chicago. Possibly in the surrounding area though. Sure as hell wouldn't be sold on here. I'd contact every field / shop within a couple hundred miles and inform them. It's bound to surface at a field somewhere soon. Unfortunately it may be defaced by the time it surfaces. I hope for swift justice on this for sure.

I wonder the same thing. I have had items go "missing" before baggage claim. Regardless, sending good vibes. Hope this works out, people these days man...

That'd b the 1st person I drilled , no doubt. If the said handler has any connection with the sport , I'd grill him or her.

That sucks. The airline that lost the luggage should fully reimburse him though. Unless it was stolen at baggage claim :X

Let me guess...American Airlines? I wouldn't be surprised. Detroit Infamous already had two of their custom Vanquishes stolen from their baggage, and earlier in the year, USA Today and one other major media outlet (can't remember which show) did exposes on the LAX baggage handler theft ring. Of course, it was American Airlines in both situations that were the carriers and neither time did they show any concern. With Detroit Infamous, they kept deflecting complaints. I know come Aug/Oct I'll not be flying with them. It's getting ridiculous to the point we'll have to lobby to make these things legal as carry-on or buy non-paintball gearbags to camoflauge the bags.

I know a few ppl in the Airline Industry. I will ask around and also ask what steps can be done to launch an investigation of some sort. Will DM you if I have anything that can help.
Best of luck, iPS

Toss one of these in your gearbag. Or better yet cram it inside a hopper or pod or if there's room the gripframe of your gun.
If the bag or gun is stolen....track it!

Or buy a used smartphone and activate the plan for the month you are traveling. Use the find my phone features or app to find it.

I wouldn't check fields and PB stores, 9/10 times when stuff gets stolen (especially from a non-paintball locale like an airport) it'll end up in a local pawn shop. The people stealing these things aren't people that play, rather some low-life looking to make a quick buck.
On the off chance that the person responsible is stupid enough, check ebay and the local craigslist, they may post something.
The unique anno is nice and everything but more important is the serial number, send pictures and the SN# to businesses in the area and have them keep a look-out.
Best of luck!

GL getting it back. Hopefully, it will be relatively easy to spot due to it's uniqueness.

Thank you to everyone for keeping an eye out. If everyone could take a moment to just share this thread on your Facebook, in a group, in a subforum, or anywhere else that might help find this stuff I would greatly appreciate that. I am certain Nick would as well.

I gotta say....I love the way those of us that are honest pull together to help a fellow player out and weed out the riff-raff that try to tarnish this great sport.

Precision, was this bag stolen before or after retrieving his bags from baggage claim? If it was before, then yes, take it up with the Airline. If it was afterward, was it stolen with the bag or from the bag? If with, what does the bag look like? What brand, color, etc.
An "After Baggage claim" theft would mean that the thief probably recognized the brand of the bag and assumed (correctly) that there would be valuable gear inside. Or, the person recognized the player, then saw the bag, and acted.
If it was before, then it might just be lost (it happens at the most inopportune times), and the Airline should be able to move heaven and earth to find it.
For future reference, any "security device" on a piece of luggage with a zipper can be bypassed with a ballpoint pen. If you are traveling with expensive equipment, or valuables of any kind, get a large Pelican-style case and two padlocks. Physically walk it to TSA's X-ray check and, if they ask, open it for them before locking it back up.

My sympathies, but does anyone else remember when Private Label markers had really interesting unique milling patterns? This looks way too much like generic Eaton/Ripper milling. Custom milling patterns sure have taken a dive over the past few years.
