How many ports are on the barrel tip? A breakdown of the large and small holes as well as number of rows would be really awesome.

Smaller holes: 12 in each row
Larger holes: 4 in each row

I think there is 8 rows of each, but I'm not sure based on the pictures. I didn't count them. I can try to remember to do that tonight. Otherwise I'm sure Lurker knows.

Its 8 rows of each and the large are offset from the small to prevent any channelling effects @ the muzzle (4 years of petroleum industry reactor design makes you paranoid)

one front dont want 12 inch

But for the price, why not get the kit? $100 out the door. Two used UL backs and a single used tip cost about $100. I just sold my boomstick for $100 used. My point, you get 3 backs, 2 tips, case for the same price as buying used dye barrels (or pretty much any other top of the line barrel).

I don't think anyone is arguing that it's a bad value, but I wouldn't buy something I don't need. I'm in the same boat that I'd really only want 2 backs at most, and just the 15" tip. So I got the single barrel for $40. The extra $60 for the kit that would just sit unused isn't worth it to me. I do think it's a great value for what you get though.
