You can think that but I am 99.9% certain your wrong. I can only think of maybe 2-3 people that I know for a fact have more apple products than me but i have them beat in electronic devices (tablets, laptops, phones) in general.

Mind you I used to absolutely love everything apple did from 05-2010. Then the things that they did that annoyed me were less and less offset by kickass new features and started adding up . I'm getting to the point of saying **** it, or why do I put up with this ****.

A similar company that does what we do is palantir , they do similar applications and also market them in the public space ( to try and catch insurance fraud , maybe different types of equities research , in addition to the Military intelligence community ).

I could have worked on outlook at Microsoft but that sounded more boring than paint drying. . Yahoo gave me a pretty kickass offer to work in the media group (yahoo finance yahoo sports their election stuff too), but I just couldn't deal with having lake taheo as my only close ski destination. I think in 2 years or two I may bite the bullet and goto amazon or msft in the Seattle suburbs to be closer to whistler blackcomb.

I recently bought a Mac Mini (late 2009) with Snow Leopard Server. Probably gonna switch to Maverick soon but just messing around with it for now. I also got a Magic Mouse with it which works with basic functions like left/right click but I can't get it to scroll up or down. Any ideas why the scroll won't work for it?

No option for that, but I got it to work. There were 4 system updates I did and it now works.

Anyone know if putting more RAM and a SSD in my mbp is worth it? Worried about not being able to get it back together since it looks like the case is a little mis-shaped. It's a mid 2010 and can handle 8 GB.

Dude mine fits way worse than that, been dropped hard a couple times, and it's only real issue is the crack in the glass over the camera. I say go for it, I'm about to upgrade the RAM and move to a SSD in my 2009 MBP.

My 2015 new Mac Pro desktop is a piece of ****. It crashes like crazy and the wifi card is now only getting 1mbps up and down where my girlfriends MacBook Air or my surface pros are getting 45 up and down on wifi .


I love Yosemite but I think I should have skipped gen 1 on the new desktop

I have a late 2013 MBP (i7, 16gb, 512SSD, 2gb 750) and thankfully I can say it flies in terms of WiFi on my 1900AC router. Since I only do short video edits I didn't need to go full desktop, but after reading the above (as I'm a big performance nut on things) that would drive me nuts, too.

Router **** the bed today so my roommate picked up a Motorola Surfboard.

Weird (to me) part: it puts out both 2.4 and 5 ghz signals. My roomates PC laptop ONLY recognizes the 2.4, and my MBP ONLY recognizes the 5.

His wifi connection has slowed down marginally, and mine significantly. If I pull my laptop more than ~25 feet away, I lose all signal. What gives? I won't be surprised if it's something easy, but I'm not savvy in this department
