Question about the mk3 cqb pro

Is there any way to mod the mk3 to fit the square head mags to fit first strike?
I really like the marker and I just wanted to ask

And one more thing.. Does anyone have an mkv kit for sale? Heck i would buy a whole mkv with the gun seeing how long it is till the kit comes back in stock

i saw a film on youtube from a guy who adjusted his k-series to fit scarab mags, so he could use first strike. unfortunately there was no upgrade or any special kit for this, only tools and his manual skills.

If you must have square head mags and FS capability you would be better off paying the little bit extra for the M Elite.

It is FSR and the same size as the CQB

According to Rap4 the MKV kits should be coming back in stock by some time in mid January. As far as I know, the MKV won't get you first strike compatibility out of the box either. I believe you can get the DMag magwell, but modifications to the body would still be required.

Either way the lower priced guns will all require some sort of mod for FS use.

Have you looked at the Spyder MR5? Its first strike ready out of the box and costs less than milsig/rap4 stuff. And aside from DMags, the spyder mags cost less than the Milsig mags do.

I thought that when you get the dmag magwell it is first strike ready

And I have looked at the mr5 the only thing I don't like is that the fs mags are only 9 rounds

You'd have to look at the bodies without the magwell on them. I'm pretty sure the MKV, etc aren't FS ready. I'll see if I can dig up some info for you on it.

*edit*
I've found some videos on youtube about how the body was modded to allow first strikes. But I'm not finding anything conclusive either way. So I'm not sure. But if the body isn't FSR out of the box it looks relatively simple to mod them.

I really want the mk3 but my dad will only let me get a mag fed gun if I can use first strike rounds with it so basically my budget is. For a used gun under $400 for a new one under 500

The MKV body is first strike ready. The breech was cut for first strikes in anticipation for the capability. All that is needed is the Dmag mag well.

I'll double check mine to be sure.

If you're budget is 500 for a new gun then I would pick up a mkp-ii with dmags. Phenom comes already converted for as low as $300 and dmags are like $60 for a pack of ten

Oh, just thought of something as to why maybe my 98 isn't breaking a whole lot compared to the other mag fed conversions sometimes do.

The 98 I used for the conversion had the ACT system in it. It was Tippmann's idea of an Anti Chop. It usually works very well, and it converted over to the MKV 98 just fine. I wonder if the ACT is helping it out so it doesn't need eyes or the Lok Bolt that bad.

I wonder if the ACT system would be compatible in my MK5? So far I haven't had a chance to put paint through it yet but if I can put in something to help prevent chops that'd be cool
