My mom has the 17" macbook and it's just ridiculous.

13in screen is too small to do any work that i need to do, my lab gave me a 13in macbook pro and i said **** this and made my own computer with dual screens... for a thousand less.

I've liked my Macbook. I toured with it and used it to play hundred of shows and beat the **** out of it in the process. I still use it all the time, but its got linux on it now.

If you need 2 screens, obviously a laptop is not going to suit your needs.

Doesn't change the fact that macbook is an excellent laptop that does most computer stuff easily and is very durable.

Retina display is nearly twice 1080p on the 15inch MacBook. You guys start the hate train and yet your already making excuses for windows laptops "oh it needs to be that big, blah blah. That's not what I asked. It's difficult to find a laptop with a similar size, similar build quality, similar screen, and similar performance for hugely cheaper. You can get a comparable Lenovo or something but those are pretty expensive as well.

Retnia display is only 2,800x1,800 vs 1080p on 15in screen... please, you don't notice it unless you're REALLY up close to it. Yes, only Apple has it, and there is a reason for it. Put a retnia display on a 27in monitor for the .1% of people who do rendering and make computer generated images and need the extra details. No movie could use it, and the ****ty graphics processor would fall flat on it's face trying to play any game at that resolution.

Yeah, well it started much later than it was originally supposed to. I left a little late, but at a good time. I haven't been to sleep yet so even if I were to go in I'd be exhausted.
