after watching the vid that lucky pb had put out. IMO it looks as if everyone except the one joy division player was out then the joy division player comes around and shoots BC up for no reason................ i dont know the "official rules" on that but the joy division player should not have shot BC up so bad, but thats my opinion...... Great game by both teams though!

either way why overshoot someone (4-6) times w/ nppl refs standing less than a foot away...obviously the adrenaline and winning the cup are factors...but if u cant control your r.o.f in pro div & in front of cameras virtually forcing the ref's to make the overshooting call...obviously penaltys will be given...it sucks at such an important time... but really if anything JOY has proven their domiance...and this should just give them more reason to kill it in 07...

They results of the game cannot be overturned as everyone knows. however, i do not think Joy should be penalized in HB for this.

Yabler speaks the truth.

Also if you watch the PBfilms one the guy in the back corner for joy gets shot while gun battling much before the runthrough.

2- the joy guy gets hit on the inside before he gets to alex which you can also see on the pbfilms vid.

3- BC does appear to be shot when he jumps the snake but the 1 for 1 would have already eliminated the remaining joy player for the first joy player running down and playing on while bunkering Fraige.

4- Fraige definatly should have walked off faster, but who the hell does that anymore.

5- Reffs made the right call if you put it all together.

Pfft, leave the field in a timely manner, no one should ever do that. While we are at it, we should also grab at other players.

Link to pbfilms video?

I see nothing on the lucky video that indicates either of the JD players were hit beforehand.

The webcast video shows that BC was wrapping the center wedge at the time of the mugging by JD's first player, making it pretty damn hard for him to shoot the player coming down the side. Besides, if BC really hit him, and believed hit it him, why would he jump over the snake? Wouldn't he do an angel fragoza and grab the ref, curse at the ref, and order him to check the JD player?

me either, and I've watched all of the vids multiple times. the only hit I see on Scandal is on his shoulder once he is past Alex, and in the pic we see Alex shooting long after he's been hit about 4 times on his shoulder.

I'll check this new video when I get home from work, but from the footage at PBFilms.com, it appeared that the Joy Snake player was shot AFTER he bunkered Fraige.

Look at the following frame captures from the video, take note of the angle of the splat.. and once he lands, take note of how far back the hit on the shoulder is.... even when laying down, the hit appears more to the middle & back of the shoulder which implies the Joy player was passing or past Fraige before Fraige shot him.

Mr Perez stated right after the game what he had decide:
That the joy player who bunkering Alex was clean but BC shot him then the refs took his armband and he turned around and firing hes gun with malicious intent therefor 3-4-1.... And if u see the vid u suggested u can see that this is not the case....
All other points u made is just speculating... And u said that Alex didnt leave the field and thats no biggie... but he does more then that doesnt he?? He grabs the Joy player (physical contact)and drags him back... And thats ok, in ur eyes??
And u can see that BC recieved paint three times
1. When he jumps over the snake.
2. when the snake guy and him batteling it out...(this is also the time when a ref get to the situation and pull hes armband and calls him out, alex armband was gone long time ago...)
3. When he still standing there looking like a paintsample dont leave the field, and not Alex either...(and the 2 joy-players armband was still there.. even though the first joy dude stands up and begin to walk away...) then came the last joy player the only live player on the field runnin and put paint on BC Who point hes gun up and firing WITH NO ARMBAND... alex refusing to leave and start grabbing and all the commotion suddenly wakes the other refs up and they come in... BC is still allowed to hang the flag with numerous hit on him and with no armband... After the game BC is allowed to stand by hes friends the refs and talk 2 them but Max is sent off and all the joy players is told not to leave the deadbox...
Then he make this BS statement...
All i have told u can be checked and its footage of it its not speculation who shot who first... Its just the biased call and what its really all about...
What do u think???

Peace Papa J

Alex was pulled at that point. (6.26 in the lucky video) The call on the field was that the JD player bunkered angel cleanly. BC came over and traded with the first JD player in the snake. The ref clearly says in the lucky video "both of you are out" at about the 8.29-8.32 mark. He proceeds to take BCs armbad at 8.31. At the 8.34 mark, 3 seconds after BCs armband is pulled, we see him, with his gun pointed at the JD player, appear to shoot his gun while his armband was pulled. The 3 for 1, according to the call by the head ref, should be on him. The JD player shot back, as anyone would, when they were getting shot at.

Back and to the left for real

Papa J- It's unclear who shot first. Who here wouldn't make sure BC was out? The ref made no signal to the other players that BC was out, and the JD player couldn't see the ref pull the armband because of the brick in the way. He probably did shoot first, and I don't blame him. But then BC shoots back. We know this from the lucky video and the pictures of the JD player's hits on the goggles. So when you are getting shot at, you shoot back. It's instinct. Who blames him?

Bottom line- The statement the head ref made is not what happend at all. Either there weren't enough eyes on the field watching the play or they did not take enough time to get the call right. He should have gotten his facts straight.

From what I have seen, and heard from a person that was close to the action.. totally wrong call..... Joy wins......

But this is the so called Pro level and all to often cheating is the key....

But more then anything the ref's lost control at the end.... when you ref your word is final..... don't ask the player what happen..... call what you see not what someone tells you.

i think that the call has more to do with the rules than just who shot who first. Brian should of recieved a 1 for 1, because he played on, but because the joy player was deemed to be playing on with malcious intent, that penalty overrides the penalty dealt to dynasty, awarding the pull and hang automatically to dynasty

For all you guys who still don't get it. Here's the NPPL rules text on physical contact of the sort Alex Fraige did to Sebban:

21.03 Three-Game Suspension. Players may be suspended, causing the team to play short for three games following infractions:
...
(2) Physical contact during or after play that does not result in injury (e.g., shove, grab, shoulder-bump).

That's a three game suspension right there he did not receive. His grabbing Sebban is on a high quality Video that shows it in a very clear manner.

And while we're at it:

18. Illegal activities
18.01 Playing-On. A player that continues to play after being marked with paint it Playing-On, playing on includes, but is not limited to:

(iii) Talking, signaling or otherwise communicating, either to a referee, opposing players ir eammates, except that a player may say “Hit” or “Out” or something of that effect once,
(iv) Impending the progress of the opposition players or a referee,
(V) Hampering a referee in making a paintb check or a call,
(vi) Dischargig or degassing the marker or providing teammates with paintballs or equipment
(vii)Remaining in the game while making no effort to leave the field.

Now, someone tell me why BC did not receive a playing on penalty for case vi as he clearly discharged his gun on Sebban after his armband was pulled. There is photographic evidence of this. Also, since having your armband pulled counts as being acknowleged as out this is actually a 3-4-1 according to the rules)
And why Alex did not receive not one but two playing on penalties for his multiple offense of case (iv) as he was impending the progress of Sebban, and case (vii) as he made no effort to leave the field.
This adds up to a 3-4-1. As in it exactly equals the penalty Joy received. So it was a DRAW and should have continued as a 1 - on - 1.
Or, counting a 3-4-1 instead of a 1-4-1 for BC firing with armband off, it would mean Joy clearly wins. So those are the two possibilities. Or we can go the way it did and not give Dynasty any penalties no matter what they do on the field.

And you can't claim malicios intent when marking a player with no armband that's shooting at you! So they should just drop that BS call.

And really, to all you guys STILL claiming the the head ref got it right, I thinkt it's UNBELIEVABLE how many people post here that obviously don't know the rules. Here, read them why don't you: http://www.nppl.tv/site//downloadatt...b&attachmentID

Maybe that head ref should read up on it as well. Because he didn't follow them as written.

No, one infraction does not overrule or negate another. See NPPL rules as they are written.
Matty and Lasoya got it right, it should have gone over to a 1 on 1.

Alex should recieve an automatic 3 game suspension for the physical contact, according to the rules.
And he should have also been pulled for:

18. Illegal Activities
18.01 Playing-On. A player that continues to play after being marked with paint is
Playing-On. Playing-On includes, but is not limited to:
(ii) Continuing to move, except with respect to exiting the field by the most direct route or at the
direction of a Referee,
(iv) Impeding the progress of opposition players or a Referee,
(v) Hampering a Referee in making a paint check or a call,
(vii) Remaining in the game while making no effort to leave the field.

Let's see, that's 4 counts of playing on, 4 for 1 anyone?

thats is the only thing that is deff about that video. you cant tell who got shot first. the only thing you can clearly see is that the joy player kept playing after he watched the ref pull his armband off.

i think that is the only reason why they gave it to dynasty and not do a 1v1

ok first of all the refs realized that BC was dead and so was fraige and the other snake player(hence them all not having armbands) so joy at this point has won the game but here comes Sebban and he BLASTS BC who was as i stated earlier DEAD. Hence sebban gets a 3 for 1 resulting in dynasty getting the pull and the hang which BC did. GAME OVER PWNED
