Thank You! 2013 is a wrap!
Now that the Divisional play is done, I would like to say a big thank you to all the teams, players, coaches, helper, pit guys, and supporters of the CPL. This was our first year and I think we pulled it off pretty damn well setting the bar very high. Without you guys, these events cannot happen. We will always continue to listen to all of you so we can make our events better and better. (possible changes for next year listed at the bottom)
Doing an event like the CPL requires a ton of help from a lot of people. I would like to thank Paul Dagnino and the CPX Family, Ryan Spierowski, Chicago Infamous, Chicago Heretics, Ohana PB, Chitown Punishers, Firebrand Paintball, John Lindholm, Pigpen, DJ "Honu" Fox, Lani Fox, Jason Rangel, Todd, Darryl Nephew, Dave Wilson, Charlie Buchard, Steve Bach, Matt Osborn, Pete Riegert, Abel Solorio, CPX Staff, Chris Herring, Chris Raehl, Amanda and Joe, Mich, Q-Ball and Stephi, Todd Berens, Robert Cole, and more.
Thank you to our sponsors who help to promote the events and provide assistance when needed. Big thanks to the PSP, Empire, HK Army, DYE, Social Paintball, PBNation, APPA, and of course CPX Sports.
Thank you to everyone who has reffed this year. You guys were tough and it was awesome seeing you guys on top of the calls. Special Thanks to Chicago warped for the Sound System that was used. And lastly, thank you to Aaron Yendall. He is our graphics guy who did the artwork on all the shirts and flyers. You sir.. are the man. Love ya buddy.
The thing I loved best was watching the newer teams progress through the year, especially the Young Guns. I am amazed how much better everyone got and how the competition was getting more fierce every event.
We always try to listen to the players so we can make our events better. If you have suggestions, please email me directly or even post on here! As of right now, we are working on scoreboards for next year and possibly adding in a D4 Race to 4. We will also be adding in portapotties at the CPL to reduce the amount of walking. If you guys have more suggestions, please let us know!

Sean said it all. Thanks to everyone that helped break ground on this series. The intent was and always will be to provide a national level series to prepare you for national competition. Based from the amount of teams that played and traveled long distances to play in the CPL we have accomplished that. This series will continue to keep growing and I'm excited to keep adding more into it.

I didn't get a chance to play CPL all year until this last event. The only thing I might suggest is running D4 RaceTo2 in a match type format instead of the round robin 5-man style. It's a little more enjoyable, and gives teams a little bit of a taste of the pitting and other elements that go into a normal RaceTo match.

We had no major issues with anything. It was a pretty well run series and I'm glad we had the opportunity to compete. My only suggestion is field entrances that are equidistant from the pits, primarily for xball.
On behalf of Team Vintage thank you to everyone who moved this along, especially Ryan, Sean, and the refs.

Thank you for letting me know about the entrances. We will look into that for next year. It will be more of a factor when we add in D4 Race to 4 for next year.
Great job this year guys and good luck at World Cup!

Thanks also for the attention given to the Young Guns! The kids improved a lot during the season. Quality events, quality people, and a great time.

Maybe
A D5 beginner Division with one D4 player per roster?
For teams who are new to tournament play but maybe don't meet the age requirement for Young Guns or are not yet ready to play D4.

The more competitive teams will play D4 Race to 4 for next year. We will also take this under advisement.

Thanks for the shout out Sean. Thanks on behalf of the Chitown Punishers. We are excited for next season as it will be our first season competing. Big props to CPX, HKArmy, Ninja, O'Hare Paintball Park, Aggressive Sports shop and all the teams that help make the CPL the top series in the midwest.
