I don't think that you're going to have any problems running Vista on 8gb
I'm an AMD whore really. Originally I wanted to run a full AMD rig, but money forced me into the 8400 I've been working with. I love my processor, AMD 64 X2 6000+ 3.01 GHz. I have an intel Duo 2 that isn't supported at all in anything in my laptop and I can't stand it. I wanted to upgrade my chip and ram, but that's not happening at all heh.

Even my TV is ATi based, lol. I can't wait to build this.. Wipe my HDD and sell the rig for $400, and I'll be able to buy my Samsung 22" monitor I want, haha

What is PeerGaurdian?

I think the fact that I haven't slept since 1:00PM Saturday and am still not tired kind of implies there's something wrong with me.

It does a pretty good job. As in I haven't even gotten a letter from my ISP in the last 2 years or so. But right now I can't use it. But its a Vista 64-bit compatibility issue.

edit- It looks like AMD might be releasing the 45nm Phenom 2's in February.

It damn well better be awesome, the mobo I got is supposed to be good for overclocking, and I want to push my phenom to 3.0, and eventually do a liquid cooling, but I've never done it so I dunno how to do it at all, lol

there might be a patch eventually for it.

I don't think it's a concern for my ISP, I've been d/ling music and porn for 3 years now, and all they've ever done was knock my speed back a bunch because I got... bored one night and downloaded a couple *cough* scenes*cough*

-_- I have a thing for Keri Sable

Haha. My connection hasn't been choked by my ISP, yet. I'm going to OC my Q6600 to around 3.0, as well. It's just stock right now at 2.4.

Also if you have some extra money you should look into getting a 24" monitor. Gaming at 1920x1200 as opposed to 1680x1050 is a big difference.

I think I'm going to buy a few of the odd parts first, soon, and then the bigger ones later.

Can I put an Ati card in an Nvidia Northbridge?

if I can then I'm going to get the Video card and Monitor soon, and then the rest after I move.

edit:

Muahaha
this monitor
and an external drive so I can start backing up my files now.

I'm not sure about that. I'm going to say yes though. If it has the right connection. Like PCI not AGP. I have basically the same monitor. Mine is the p243w. It's 16:10 though instead of 16:9. Which I found out after I ordered everything. Oh well, it hasn't caused any stretching or anything yet. Also that monitor doesn't have DVI, so you would have to connect it through d sub or HDMI.
