I'll get on it. Maybe...
What do you need to know? It's not in that high of a demand, so rather then making a new thread I could help you.

My biggest piece of advice for new players is not to get stuck on crappy "virtuoso rock" players like Yngwie Malmsteen or Steve Vai. They really aren't that good.

Squiers are good. This was my first (and only) bass
http://www.musiciansfriend.com/produ...***?sku=512733
for a beginner bass you just want to play a bunch of different ones and see which is most comfortable for you. Also make sure that the frets don't cut your hands, or you will have some serious sanding to do.

Have you played one? Some people love that Dan Electro "vintage" vibe. A lot of people dismiss them as a budget guitar with ****ty pickups. I don't personally find them the most playable guitars myself, but It all comes down to how it feels in your hands. Try, as much as you can, to play before you buy.

im conflicted with either getting the sg
http://www.musiciansfriend.com/produ...ack?sku=518745
off of pbnation here or getting my friend's
http://www.musiciansfriend.com/produ...age?sku=518877
and was wondering if the sg and les paul given in the 1st page, sounds similiar at all and if the sg beginner pack's amp is better than the ibanez amp or vice versa

Dont get an epiphone SG. If your going with epiphone anything, get the Les paul. My friend bought the epiphone SG because he thought it would be comparable to my Gibson SG, and its seriously one of the worst sounding guitars I've heard. The epiphone Les Paul on the other hand sounds pretty good.

I don't like the sound of the HSS Strat, the bridge single coil is the best sounding one.

buy from rondomusic. Agile LP's are probably better than most Epi models other than the very higher end ones, and cost less

http://www.rondomusic.com/electricguitar-ss5.html

just browse around there awhile

Do you actually have one?

I've never heard of anyone having one. They just blow them like crazy.
