Soo i hate my drone grips, from pictures it looks like the pm7 grips come damn close to drone/clone ones. If i could get some hybrid pm7 grips that would be filthy. anyone know if they fit?

yes dm/pm (non ul) grips fit as well as angel lcd

SWEET SAUCE!!! How does the clone OLED screen work with them? Can you still make out the display or do you need to modify the grips?

If you get the dye stickys for the angel LCD you don't need to mod them. Although they do make the frame kinda thick feeling. I like the gt grips the most.

killer, heck yea im buying some for my buddys gt, exacto knife is the way to go. I just dont like how hard the grips are. i hate plastic grips.

In the same position as you will definitely pick up some dm/ pm grips for my drone. The one imperfection with my drone will come to end. Finally.

I just got some pm8 grips here on the nation. Hopefully they fit as well as you guys say they do.

Well pm8 grips are the same as the v1 UL grips. Cause the pm8 came with a UL frame stock.

just buy clone grips. slap a oled board and screen in there too you wont regret it

you want the ones that tear apart? the new new ones are from the clone gt and dont tear apart as easy anymore. they are all black instead of the black with grey accent

lol Yes! the new clone gt grips are almost exactly like the drone grips. my buddy has one. its still plastic. i like grips that feel good. i dont care if they fall apart.

If you get the Hybrid PM7 grips, please post some impressions in this thread. If the fit without modification, impression and maybe pics too if possible. I'm really interested to see if they work well on the Drone DX.

yea i will be real happy if they do. Now that i have orderd and if people just wanna try it out, ansgear.com has hybrid pm7 grips going for 7 bucks! getn while they last. mine will be here prolly by this weekend. Ill let you guys know how they are and ill post some pics!!!

SOooo i got the grips, and there is some mod's that you will need to do in order for them to look good. brand new out of the box the fit, but what i did is i cut the center piece out that wraps around the frame. after that i got one side and placed the stock grips over and traced. Oh and i used a xactoknife. AND with these grips you will have to use different screws. stock are a little to short but i have gottn a couple through.

while going threw that you will see that there is a piece of sheetmetal in the middle, i have a grind stone spinning wheel so i just sanded that off, dremel would also work great.

after grinding off that i got a file and just smoothed the sheetmetal off. now they look great!

here is what they look like if you dont really cut them.

they hang off the side of the gripframe and dont look great.
With them both on they are slightly thicker then the stock ones but they still feel great.

Did you cut the center out of the grips so they would fit on the frame or for personal preference?

i really didnt look at it to hard, ill reply back, i still have my buddys grips so i can see. but when i first put them on it looked like there was alot of space inbetween.
