Those are the only reasons I can think to not play with an electro in the woods.

and all of the above fail with the use of an Sp1 (and vibe)

fully submerged.. It will cycle.. board was made to withstand water..

so rain, creeks and streams.. even pools.. your marker still works..

I've played in rain for hours straight, just tighten your screws and if you want to be positive electrical tape the frame to make sure it is waterproof on those really bad days.

I rigged my a5 before I sold it and made it extremely quiet, you can't do that with open bolt poppets because the noise comes mostly right out the back of the gun, supposedly you can rig something over your bolt and have basically a flip open/close piece of wood with the noise canceling stuff on it. but your talking a ton of money to do that (my friend did that cause his dad had a ton of extra when he built his studio)

I plan to take my new Drone DX out soon for a little woods action.

Speedball will follow shortly, of course.

Great video! I've never used an electro in wet conditions, but after seeing that, I may try it next weekend.

I'd say it's your playing style. I love to use my pump in the woods, but there are days I just want to use the electro out there and that works just fine. Its all what your feeling that day.

Misconception or not, I kinda refuse to put my gun underwater or in heavy mud. I saw the Etha vid where they throw the marker 50 feet onto gravel and it worked fine as well, doesn't mean I am going to try it with my markers.

However, next time you are near Chicago, I will happily watch you put your marker underwater and in mud and play with it the rest of the day

What he means it, hell find a dry place to waste paint from with his macdev while he watches you stumble around the field trying to be helpful to your team.

I'm on to you, mutter.

I'll gladly do it, someone will have to buy me a gun first though

I use a TM15 and an Etek3, both electro. I have never had an issue using an electro for woodsball

Or get 30 hits a second.... if you miss you miss, lower ROF doesn't make you more accurate. I bet you miss 5 times per second.

OT: Electro's are nice, smooth, and quiet at mentioned before, as well as lighter and more compact. I have mech guns and love em', but my electro's are just nicer, and I can shoot as fast or slow as I want, its not a paint issue.

In addition, you can typically get more shots per fill, which is nice for outlaw ball or scenarios where you may not have a chance to fill anytime soon.

This man has a great point, most new electros are considerably more efficient than older mech guns.

i take my dm into the woods and use it no problems its nice being the only guy not using a spyder or tippman lol but no i just would keep rof down (for fairness) unless everyone else is using electronic markers then its fair game

i play woodsball with any of the three guns in my sig...it is all about preference and what works for you. there was a day when i rocked the tactical vest, 90/4500, remote line and an a5 that was as heavy or heavier than my actual m4 and ran around in the woods...just didn't suit my type of play anymore.

I don't think any paintball gun is good for going for a swim...let's just say that the paint can't handle it more so than the guns...we used to hose off our rental tippmanns a few years ago...haha
