What are the dimensions of an Xball field?

150' x 125' are the dimensions for the actual playing field.

170'x 170' are the dimensions needed to build a PSP-style Xball field. This encompasses the netting surrounding the field as well as the 20' x 20' staging areas.

it was 120 by 150 in la but was normal the rest of the year...it was smaller in la because of the light poles....

EDIT: I was wrong. the rest of the year we did in fact use 120x150....There was 140 feet from sideline pole to sideline pole and a 10 feet of out of bounds on each side so that make 120'... i should have remembered considering i measure and mark the corners of the boundaries... sorry geoff

Well either way no one has even noticed so it must not really make a difference. Its 2.5 feet shorter on each side.

2.5 feet could mean making it to the corner or getting shot in the face or pack or something...

So your telling me that the fields will be 150 x 120 for the '08 season??? Cause 2.5 ft to the corner props is a 'ell of a differance.Im not complaining for now i have a better chance of makin the corner.

The last page of the PSP 2008 General Rules shows the playing area 125' X 150'. If it has changed then they should change it there. You can understand that they might have to adjust for conditions some times though.

Boogie has setup a couple of fields.

To my knowledge, Sup Air still grids the fields from the middle out, so even if we were 2.5 short on either tape - the props are still set to the center of the field.

Sorry Boogie, you're not gonna save any steps running to the corners, you'd just have the out of bounds line closer...

if the fields ever were 120x150 then seems to me like they would take footage off the out of bounds area rather than the playing field but there is probably something i dont know

Ok if they grid the field from the center are they using 12.5 per grid line or 12.0???If they use 12.5 on a 120 ft wide field the chance of sliding out of bounds comes into play .If they use 12.0 then that closes all the lanes that much more.Personally i dont care what happens i just want to make sure i can have a layout set up to be like the one ill play at World Cup.

ps I also want to give mad props to Geoff and the rest of the setup crew. For they do a 'ell of a job without anyone really knowing who they are.Keep up the good work Geoff
