Sell the shocks you bought.
Get new shocks and springs.
Paying money to replace stock parts with more stock parts is just a waste.
Especially if you know you want to lift it and get bigger tires.
And maybe try to plan farther ahead for your upgrades. Like checking your springs to see if they need replaced BEFORE you buy stock height shocks. lol

Eh yeah that probably would be a good idea I just don't want to have to upgrade the axles, I feel like ill get the jeep back to stock or lifted and 33's and then be done with it.
I picked up a Diehard Platinum Battery (P1) but am debating taking it back to get a P4. The same battery but with a side post.
Any cons into having the winch dedicated to the side post? Should I just be happy with the P1 that only has two top posts?
I guess it doesn't really matter either way. Same battery. Same price. Same end result. Just curious if there was anything negative to the side posts. I heard Optimas can't handle it.

during lunch at school. on our way back from mcdonalds. it its weak, but it was fun as hell. we hit it the other way the day before and our drinks went everywhere.
Un-Balanced tires, Alignment, U Joint, Tie Rod End, Ball Joints, Part of the rack or pinion, Idler arm, bad steering stabilizer, Trac bar(bushings, angles, bolts), Axle mounts, control arm bushings, steering box bolts/spacers, frame(cracks in the frame could make the steering box feel loose), driveshaft unbalanced.

Anyone been to Moab before?
I'm trying to put together a trail itinerary, but could use some input.
We have about 7 rigs goin right now:
(2x) Rubi on 35's
Rubi on 33's
TJ on 33's (Front locker)
CJ7 on 33's (open)
XJ on 32's (Front locker)
JK...I'm unsure of?
Keep their capabilities in mind, as I don't expect to run trails like Upper Proving Grounds, and some of the rigs will probably even opt out of Hell's Gate, Escalator, and Mickey's Hot Tub.
Saturday's Plan
(3-trips, not for wimps, no complaining allowed);
Trip #1 - Fins & Things (Note - $5.00/day entrance fee per rig).
Trip #2 - Hells Revenge (Note - $5.00/day entrance fee per rig).
Options for trip #3;
Flat Iron Mesa
or
Moab Rim
or
Steel Bender
Sunday's Plan
(3-trips, start early end late, no whiners or we'll send you home early);
Trip #1 - Poison Spider Mesa
Trip #2 - Golden Spike
Trip #3 - Gold Bar
Monday's Plan
(Nothing scheduled, I'd like to plan another 3-trips though)
Maybe Kane Creek Canyon or Pritchett Canyon, and then whatever trails we didnt do on Saturday?
Any suggestions/critiques would be appreciated.

Strike Ravine was alot of fun, top of the world is a must, its absolutely amazing. Hole in the rock is good, without a winch its no fun. And procupine rim is also a good ride and really nice at the top.

I get TERRIBLE death wobble on my XJ ONLY after hitting a decent size pothole at about 25-30 MPH.
Is this my ball joints???
Everything in the front suspension is stout and tight, no play in my trac bar or steering box.....
Its lifted 3.5" but i still haven't got around to putting the new control arms on(stock ones on now)
Only running 30's that are brand new so they are in balance....
Obviously something is loose or worn. Have you actually watched the front end while someone turns your steering wheel back and forth between 11 and 1 with the motor off? Do that. If the problem is coming from the track bar or a TRE, you'll see it. Otherwise, it's probably a control arm bushing (or more). Rubber bushings are weak and don't hold up to higher travel suspensions due to the very small amount of miscalignment. To see this, you'll actually need to remove the arms.

going for 29 inch tires to 31's would lift the axle about 1 inch right? So if i get the BB and 31's the overall height would be plus 3 inches.
31-29 = 2
2/2 = 1
BB = 2" ??
2+1 = 3
Assuming the 31's do indeed have a 2" larger diameter than your current tires. Realistically, your old 29's probably sit closer to 27" under weight. A new 31 will sit closer to 30" with weight, so that's a 1.5" bump in total height gained.
