yup. every one i've met so far is super friendly. apparently that's the general consensus from the locals too; as far the the 'immigrant problem', it's the arabs they don't like. (north) africans (where most of them come from) are genuinely good people.

then i know somebody in geneva where they've got a bunch of west africans, and while they uphold a similar moral code so to speak, they exact vigilante justice in their own way. i was telling him my story of the pickpocketing, and he said yeah, it's a pretty big thing in europe, surprising it hadn't made it's way to canada. but he saw some arab looking dude grab a woman's purse and take off, and then a bunch of africans took off after them. he was talking to one of the africans who stuck around he was all excited saying 'oh boy oh boy they're gonna get his ****in ear!'

so yeah. don't steal around west africans if you wanna keep your ears on your head.

I was in Europe for 4.5 months. Never left my wallet at home, got drunk on a regular (daily) basis, and did psychoactive chemicals.

Never lost my wallet, never got pick pocketed.

lol, trying to intimidate sketchy dudes by staring them down doesn't exactly work in marseille. *****s get ****ed up over here. it has it's quiet parts, but it's also one of the more dangerous cities in france/ europe. go into the northern quarter and you're likely to get held up by a gun or a knife. the ak is the weapon of choice.

Its not that bad. My gf is from france and says that city is pretty middle of the road for violence. All I know is that London is highly populated by muggers(not really murderers) but nothing I had was ever stolen there. Scare tactikz.
