these show the gun going throug the normal boot cycle and starting up jsut like it should I just cant seem to get the ram to hit that valve.. (I can manually force the bolt and ram forward to hit the valve but there is pressure tying to pull it back)

as far as I know everything is put together correctly

thanks

Try the following:

1) Fresh battery. Try more than one, some new ones are bad out of the box.
2) Check the Sidewinder to make sure it is getting air.
3) Check the SCM to make sure it is getting the right pressure (72 psi).
4) Check the Dwell, could be too low. Set it to 12ms.
5) Make sure the bolt is in correctly. Sometimes it is put in backwards.
6) Crack the marker open and make sure none of the wires are pinched or cut.

What led up to it not working? Did someone use it. Happened all of a sudden? Provide more details.

the trigger had paint in it so I took it apart and then put it back together and shoot some reballs through it and put it in my bag... when I took it out again it didnt work.... the settings are on default and the battery is good as well as the reg....

I just cant figure out what would cause the ram to not want to go forward like that... its really strange

maybe the lpr is set JUST under what you need or the dwell is to short.

those are the only things i can say that are screwing it up

You should really have a toolkit to do so, otherwise you have the chance of setting the LPR too high and blowing the noid. Not sure what they're rated at but better safe than sorry.

So, if I'm getting it right though, you've got pressure going to the bolt but the bolt/hammer won't move forward when you pull the trigger? If so, does your gun stay aired up when you unscrew the tank? I'm not sure about most Vikings but my two held enough air for 2 or 3 shots before it degassed. Something stuck in the solenoid? It's hard because you haven't changed anything that would affect the performance since you put it back together.

Looks to me like either your battery is bad, your board is friend, or your pressures are set wrong.

Cobra, yes vikings usually hold air. Mine would hold shots before it was degassed. The last shots would shoot about 10ft. The first few are normal FPS.

If you don't have a LPR tool set do the following:

1.) Make sure your Sidewinder's velocity screw is flushed with the bottom the regulator, this should set your HPR to around 200 psi.
2.) Depends on what solenoid you have, if Humphrey set your dwell to 10, if MAC set it to 17.
3.) Slowly turn your LPR up until your gun shoot consistently around 275 at a chrono, this should set your LPR to around 65~75.

----------------------------------------------------------------
I've done this many times on my Vikings, and had no trouble. I usually get a LPR setting at 60~65.

if all the above isn't the problem your ram could have come loose. It happened to one of mine in 2004 while I was dry firing and breaking in the gun. It was a free warranty repair then and I would assume the same now.

did you take out the board, you might've plugged the connectors into the wrong ports or something?

I had an identical problem on an Excalibur. Yesterday, Gene at Gorilla Paintball told me my Pandora board is malfunctioning and needs repair work. What board do you have in your Viking?

Ive been having some weird problems too. Although I cant get my gun to turn on properly or use eyes as well. I beleive it's my Pandora board as the source of my problems. Are pandora boards known for having limited lifespans?

Dwell,

18 is way too high. You will use air like a Shocker. Generally the dwell is set at 10-12 ms.

Depends if its mac or humphrey noids. If its mac, 18 should be fine.
