First off, any info you get here is not valid in a court of law. You're going to look stupid before a judge if you say "der, yer honor, dey said it wuz ok on da internet". You need to check with your local police department to be sure.

The laws in CA pretty much treat paintball markers as BB guns/imitation guns. You *should* be ok shooting in your backyard if it is private and people can't see you. You are not ok showing it in public, shooting it in public (say an abandoned lot), and probably not in an exposed, easily visible back yard either.

That said, your profile says Los Angeles. This is the city that banned gunshows (which brought in millions in revenue) in their city limits because they were "evil". It's not a friendly place for anyone to have anything that shoots projectiles who doesn't have political connections. Be prepared to be screwed by the cops.

Lol thats great to hear. I asked a local officer and i made sure its cool with all the neighbors. I have 2 bunkers to practice pop shots with, and have yet to get any complaints except when i first started and was being stupid about it 8P

Does any one have any links to any threads about this Los Angeles issue with banning gun shows. I always wondered why there was never anything big in the area. Thanks
