Hey guys,

I took my RT mag out to shoot the other day and discovered that when I shoot it and the level 10 does it's whole anti-chop thing the bolt won't reset sometimes.

took the gun apart, lubed it, cleaned it.

still does this. Any advice?

it's pretty rusty. not sure what it's supposed to be, but now that I think about it that would do it.

First step would be to check spring tension and input air pressure.

air pressure is 900psi. Set to rapidfire. not sure what spring tension should be, but if it's old and rusty would it make sense to replace it either way?

Try a bigger carrier, maybe new o ring in the carrier. Sounds like a level 10 problem.

If your spring is rusted, replace it. Your probably getting bolt stick. Pull all your lvl 10 shims and install the largest carrier that doesn't leak. Also use the same carrier oring when swapping carriers out.

Trip your lvl 10, if it doesn't reset properly THEN you add shims to the PT. Add one at a time till the reset issue is resolved. 99% of the time the shims aren't needed.

replaced the spring but now it won't fire....don't have a carrier set either. I turned my input (via the valve) up until it was leaking from the back with the trigger at rest, and sealed with the trigger pulled.

Is your valve adjusted high enough? The velocity screw on the back of your valve?

Sorry, read it all and retained about half. All the internal seals lubed and ok? Reg seat in good shape?

Forget the lubed part, do you have new seals?

Seals...which ones? I'm pretty sure (read almost positive) all my o-rings are in good shape.

Edit - I feed my mag oil better than a prize winning pig. Reg seat on the other hand.....

Double edit - I put in the old spring and it at least tripped the firing mechanism and such (but there's still bolt stick and lvl10 problems. Checked my carrier and it's a .5. Again, with the old spring (which is noticably shorter than the red spring) it fires but gets stuck on the return from the lvl10 action. with the new spring it doesn't fire.

I was just informed on another forum that sometime RT classic valve regulators don't put in a high enough pressure to properly fire with the red spring. someone said something about getting that replaced by AGD. would this be for free, or could I do it myself....

Just order it, along with a xvalve rebuild kit, lvl 10 carriers, shims and orings.
