Tank cover for grip. Tank cover won't protect your tank all that well. That is like putting a sock over a stick of dynamite.

It can easily prevent external damage to the bottle

A good cover is the way to go, protects your tank and for me it helps hold the position of my tank against my jersey.

Nonsense. It won't protect the tank from impact much, but it will prevent it from scratching. And any good air technician will deny you a fill if your tank is all scratched up...

That would be WRONG! It WILL protect your tank from scratches as well as a certain level of direct impact; considering your cover has sufficient padding.

tank cover cuz if the fibers get scratched and peel
your out a tank pretty much
like say u slide into a bunker and ur tank hits a rock and it dings the wrap,
any defect that hurts the wrap pretty much ruins it

no matter what, don't use tape. it voids warranty on tanks, and makes them prone to explosion. the "stickiness" wears away the pretective coating, and as you are well aware, tanks hold a lot of pressure. the safer I am the better

tape, but getting a cover next payday.
the glue on athletic tape wont wear resin off of a tank within the lifetime of the tank.
