Hopefully the guy who was taking pictures from the hill today is on nation....id really like to see the pictures...

In no regards really to Valken, even though it is now very evident it occurred, for some reason Valken Redemption was very bouncy and very runny this tournament, while bright, it wasnt thick so it would soak into jerseys and look like old hits (confirmed from a team we are friends with - not from what we "think")

The situation I am referring to of pictures is around 530 local time, a rep from Valken had a bag of Redemption and was standing on the side of their trailer checking the paint break on a slab of CONCRETE, at first he was just dropping and they would bounce away, he then was putting some force into it when he noticed people watching and about 30-50% only broke (he would even look up and smile when they broke), some even bounced more than waist height with how hard he was throwing it....

While Valken has shot really well in the past (hb was supposedly amazing, chicago shot well but would swell if left in pods and in the sun and then get stuck in the pods -- just toss in the cooler/dont get extra paint) but DC paint was god awful and we ended up switching to evil today and it performed much better. (i am no way affiliated with evil/empire/kee)

Other than that, the biggest remark I have towards Valken is to test the paint and dont lie to the players, they told us every other team was commenting on how well the paint shot (why did they just start testing it now?) and their excuse for why it was bouncing = "YOU DIDNT SIZE THE PAINT" -- how does that have any influence how bouncy it is? you can say thats why it broke in guns, but not bouncing on people...

what are everyone elses thoughts on Valken this event.

I have no clue if it shoots good or breaks. All I know it it stains the crap out of my jerseys and gear.

my field uses valken breach. no problems other than its kind of inaccurate but not very. see if you can buy that at the event?

ok well my team actually is shootin valken in dc...and on friday we went 6 and 0.....idk bout you but that obviously means the paint was breakin and shootin pretty darn straight. it might have been a bag of paint that was left in the heat you never know

Honestly I shot the Valken paint and experienced no problem at all.

all our paint was bad, it was 10+ cases - we even got it confirmed by a friend on another team who said "yea you shot me in the arm and it broke, but i looked down and it had pretty much already seeped into my jersey, the refs were staring at the whole time and I asked if I was clean and they said yes so I kept playing"

and the refs told us atleast 2 points that they watched them bounce off packs

and i doubt a valken rep would have a random bag sitting around that wasnt in their trailer

Our team shot it all tournament so far and have had nothing but success with it. Everything is breaking. We are keeping it in a cooler (like you should be with tournament paint this quality) while playing. If you leave it sitting out in the temperature that we have had this weekend, of course it will swell a bit. All paint does this.

The redemption pro has shot amazingly this weekend with our team going 6-0. We look forward to using this amazing paint tomorrow at finals!

Perhaps it was a pallet that was exposed to high temperatures? Maybe you guys just happened to pick up a bad load. However, if your paint was sold to you under false pretenses (pretending it's ok when they knew they it wasn't), then I think it's a very bad situation going on.

We have shot valken all year including practice and have had nothing but great results. Your going to get bounces here and there, but this paint is shooting ropes and breaking on the players and not in our gas and we have made finals last two events.

It's been shooting great the entire event from my experience.

In fact, I'd say I've found the exact opposite of what you've been saying to be true: The valken is breaking on people and the evil is bouncing.

plus its not a coincidence valken dropped their beginning price of 40$ to having a HUGE sign at the back of their trailer saying 35 a case

i dont play for GSE anymore - and I played with them for PSP...this is NPPL - I play for Chicago Vipers in NPPL, different leagues, i only signed a contract for PSP and that gets voided when you no longer play for a team

I hope you can see where we are coming from after your game today and 2 hoppers went down at the same time and you had to take apart the entire rotor in order to unjam, and that happened several times to the guy that played back center

a lot of teams used valken here in MO for a regional tournament this weekend - lots of complaints about bouncing and ****ty fill
