what spyder is this?

Im pretty sure this gun is a spyder but not 100%. I looked all through the thread that has every spyder on there but nothing looks the same as this. There are no markings on the gun other than the serial number. Also i went out trying to shoot this today and the balls would just fall out of the gun. maybe go 5 feet. I have tried shooting with the velocity adjuster both in and out. Nothing changed when changing the velocity.

Its a black dragun but I'm not sure what model it is. They're spyder knockoffs, and not very good quality. If the balls are falling out of the gun, it needs new detents. It also might be missing a main spring if the balls are only going a few feet

Detents are needed and the valve might be installed in correctly if the balls are flying our 5 feet like that. Idk his you feel about disassembling you gun but try clean it out and lube the gun.

I just took at look at the detent it looks to be working fine. When i said the balls are just rolling out i ment that they roll out after i fire the gun. The detent will hold the ball there untill the gun fires. Also when it fires I have to re cock the gun. I will lube it up tomorrow and give it another go. will spyder marker oil work fine?

Yep, sounds like it's assembled wrong or missing the main spring. Either the valve isn't directing air properly or the main spring isn't returning the striker past the sear. Spyder oil is fine. I use RemOil (made for real guns) and have never had a problem with it. It's probably like 3 bucks.

Do me a favor quick if you have time. See that silver metal pin in the middle of the body near the back? Pull that out and see if there is a pretty long spring in the lower tube. It should be about 4-5 inches long or so.

Alright, then it's probably what opteron said. The valve may be installed backwards, or the o-rings are so dry that they are catching on the body (or both). It doesn't look like there is a regulator of any sort on there stopping anything else. Check for cracks in the o-rings as well when you have it apart. If you don't know how to disassemble it, it should be similar to this - http://www.spyder.tv/product-manuals...ed/imagine.pdf . Just ignore all that gibberish around the trigger frame, you won't be needing any of that. It may look somewhat complicated, but it's really designed pretty simply.
If you want to take pictures of it disassembled, we may be able to help you more.

Oh, and I just noticed too. Your bolt is rear cocking and there is no guard stopping it from hitting you. That's fine, but just be wary that you don't stick your mask anywhere near it when you're shooting. It could easily crack the lens.

Everything is facing in the same direction as i took it out. Oiled everything up. cant test it untill later today. Gonna test it behind my work since i live in apartments and i dont think they would like me shooting anything outside. All the orings looked good.

Take the valve out. That's the only thing you're missing.

Its a Dragun Dragunfire LCD, from the best I could tell. It doesn't have regulator. http://www.pbreview.com/products/reviews/2541/

The other one does incase you wondered.http://www.pbreview.com/products/reviews/2258/

My vote is your valve is backward:

valve orientation should be simple. The valve pin goes in the bigger hole. The clear oring should go on that side. The black o-ring should be on the exhaust side to the hammer.

ah ok so ya im pretty sure it is backwards than cause the pin is going into the small hole and coming out of the larger side. Also now that i have taken it apart and lubed it all up it is leaking out of the bolt.... I have a SAE set of orings so i might try and put them in there. Its just an O ring assortment box.

Flipped the valve and the leak is gone. Gonna test it tomorrow when i go into work. Also ferret15 I think the gun is the m3 black dragun. It doesnt have an lcd screen. just an led light telling me that its on safety, semi, or full auto. http://www.pbreview.com/products/reviews/1175/

ok so I just tested it out. It seams like no air is getting to the bolt when fired. All i get is a loud pop and then the ball rolls out. thats with turning the velocity up and down no change.

It seems like the valve isn't directing air upwards then. When you put the little brass screw for the valve back in, was it correctly inserted? Like, could you see the hole in the bottom of the valve when you were putting it back in? Did the brass valve screw go in all the way with very little resistance? It sounds like the air hole to the top of the valve isn't correctly lined up.

this is how everything came out. The valve screw i turned all the way in so it was snug. Not sure if that is to much. Dont really want a leak there.

Sorry, I can't really think of what else it would be. Is there possibly something blocking the bolts airflow? Or something inside the body blocking airflow to the bolt? The only thing I can see that you might be missing is a striker buffer. I don't think that would cause your problem. You're not having any issues with recocking now? Do you remember what it said on the pressure gauge when you gassed it cup? No leaks at all?

No leaks. If I take the pin out I can blow air through the asa and air comes out if the bolt. Once i put the pin back in and hold the bolt forward no air goes through. I can fell it pressing on the valve pin just no air is going through.

You know what is missing from these pictures. A striker buffer. Its a black spacer looking thing that is supposed to go behind the striker. Often times when people reassemble they just stick it first. This would cause enough of a space to let the hammer pop the valve, but keep it from workings.

Take it all apart and run a squeegee from front to back of the lower tube.

Also: Its a Dragun Dragunfire LCD. I was telling you, not asking. The Black dragun is an older model judging from its milling. Your gun is basically like any oldschool spyder though.
