I decided not to go man I gotta save money (blew a **** load before I went to selection lol) and I'm still feeling broke the **** off..

As far as running and rucking and **** during CLT I hope by the time I start my class that my ankle is ****ing good 'cause right now it feels ****ed up but that might have to do with the fact that I was walking weird on it from blisters and **** for a few days.

I'm gonna go to the PA on Monday morning that my old PL knows and get hooked up w/ a dead man profile lol.. supposedly after selection everyone can get a 10 day automatic dead man but I've also heard 30 days.. either way I'm asking my old PL to ask him to hook me up w/ as long as possible lol.. I might actually need it depending on if my ankle is ****ed or just stressed out right now.. I'm deff ****baggin it until I gtfo of here.. new PSG and new commander so I should be good when I ask for leave before I go to the Q.. hopefully

Kabul, Afghanistan (CNN) -- Afghan security officials said Saturday they had seized 10 tonnes of explosives and foiled plans to stage attacks in the capital, Kabul.

Three Pakistani citizens and two Afghans were captured, the National Directorate of Security said in a statement.

The five suspected militants confessed their involvement during questioning and admitted to being members of Pakistani and Afghan Taliban terrorist groups, the NDS said.

The explosives -- amounting to about 22,045 pounds -- were hidden under bags of potatoes in a big truck with Pakistani license plates, it said.

The suspects said they were ordered by Pakistani Taliban leaders and members of Pakistan's intelligence agency, the ISI, to transfer the explosives from the Pakistani border city of Peshawar to Kabul for use in terror attacks, the statement said.

In order for the guard guys to go they have to tryout at the units first. So basically its a 2 stop shop, tryout for 19/20th Group, make that, then train to go to selection. I have my sights set on the the tryout in LA next NOV.

I'm gonna go for a 30 day lol.. if I get that then I most likely won't be doing **** here ever again as long as I get that 28 may CLT class date.. that's supposed to be for the LAST selection class.. mine isn't supposed to be until July 7 but since I'm already at bragg the guy said he could try to speed us through

edit: also I heard it from you and many others but you don't really understand until you get there: team week ****ing blows dick lol... to make it more 'awesome' every ****ing team I was on came in last place except for 1 day.. we came in 2nd to last.. so you know we had a ****ty apparatus and just used muscle to force that **** to the end.. they made teams and hand-picked a bunch of us 11b's to be on a team for 2 of the days.. both days we came in last lol.. didn't come in until like 17 and ****.. they told us we were the strongest rangers they had ever seen

Just be happy you don't have to do the trek.
31 mile ruck march on top of everything else.
I didn't see a single guy that wasn't limping after that.
Ended up with bilat calcaneal stress fractures...both heel bones fracture.
One guy started it with a broken ankle and finished...and when I say broken, I mean not ****, swollen 5 times it's normal size, blood blisters, complete fracture broken, and somehow managed to be on of the roughly 40 of us that finished out of the 135 that started.
And those ****ers wouldn't even give him crutches afterwards....he had to steal a set from the tents where all the quitters end up.

But awesome none-the-less for you.

How was the downed pilot? That was the worst experience of my life.

They supposedly change it up but for us it was a 3.3 mile run immediately then after we grabbed rucks and ran 10.2 miles. It beat the **** out of a lot of people. And they've "Big Army'd" it. There is a FTX at the end now, so if you get injured and can't participate in the FTX, you're immediately dropped to the next class. Yea. Thus far, I loved Selection. Best class I've been in. I'd do it again without the looming air of having to get selected. However, Team Week is terrible. It really beats the **** out of you. Make sure you're rested after it. You don't even realize how much it tears ya down until you get back and try to do mundane things. And yes, I was on a team one day that was "All Brawn, and No Brain." ****ty plan. Paid for it over 8 miles. Ouch.

I lucked out.
I happened to be on a team that finished first every night.

And after selection they tried having us do pt.
I could only do like, 30 situps.

Anyone heard anything about getting disability from deployment reasons such as being within 100m of a burn pit, and the whole sand thing? I've been hearing about it for a minute that the burn pit is like an automatic 10, and the sand is 5, but again probably from the pnn. Just kind of rumors floating around and all the medics i've talked to have only heard of it, no proof.
