Something only Boomer himself can answer.

I would go out on a limb though and say he is going to ask for the entire Drone...he can then walk through all the possible pitfalls of poor setup and caveman tinkering ANS might have created than repair the problems you might not even know about yet.

PM Boomer and go from there.

I'd offer to help out again, but the only Drone I messed with at all, was the one at cup last year when Bourke and I were going over it all as he was showing me the gun. Like Krazy said, it'd be more effective to go over the entire gun and make sure its tip top right off the bat, rather than fix one problem and try to combat another.

I am out of town this week in St. Louis for business, but I'll answer what I can.

The leak out the bottom of the regulator might be the same problem some people have had with their clones (it uses the same reg). The leak out the adjuster screw can be caused by a bad seal on a tiny 6x1mm o-ring on the inside of the adjuster screw- it is hollow with an o-ring groove in there where the red seat fits. The other o-ring is more obvious and is on the outside of the adjuster. Those are the only two seals that can let air out the bottom of the reg adjuster. There is a discussion thread here for your issue:

https://www.pbnation.com/showthread.php?t=3465385

If you want to send it to me, PM me and I'll get you a shipping address. It sounds like the whole thing just needs to be gone through and put back the way it should be. If the leak out the bottom of the reg is the only issue, replace the 011 and 6x1 o-rings, and try it out. Remember to zero out the reg and bring it up to pressure after putting it back together. You don't want to put 300psi through your drive train.

Whoa, what does this require doing - zeroing the reg? Tell me how. Is that when you back out the screw until it hits the reg seat?

I did get a response back from MacDev, they said I can send the reg/marker to their Miami offices for a repair. I think I might take them up on that. I'd like to get the marker back to MacDev after ANS f*cked it up.

Boomer, I'll let you know either way.

And again, thanks guys.

Right, right, right, just said it wrong. OK, I'm on board.

Also, can somebody direct me to a place where I can buy the O-rings needed for this in bulk? Can I get part numbers? I'm sure that Fastenal or McMaster-Carr will have something for me.

So, by bulk you mean like hundreds at a time? Then yes...McMaster-Carr.

Or all the orings at once...Drone kit on oringmonkey.com.

As for sizes...they are all listed in your users manual in the exploded diagram.

OK, just for clarification, I am looking at the size designations for the O-rings. I am going to assume sizes are in AS568A classification, for instance:

For size 020 O-ring (used on rear cap, floating keg and on/off keg), we have a 1/16" width with a 7/8" ID and 1" OD, correct?

What kind of material? We got Buna-N, PTFE, Fluorosilicone, etc. I need to know what type of material these O-rings are.

I just want to make sure this is the sizing they are using.

Yes, that looks right.

Last time I looked at McMaster, you had to buy 100 of a size.

For the standard-size orings (i.e. not the 10x1,etc metric ones) I like the "bulk o-ring" bags from markerkits.com They come in packs of 20 for $1, so roughly the $/ring as McMaster, but in a quantity that makes more sense.

They're also way more economical than the marker-specific o-ring kits. For $20 I bought nearly all the orings I will ever need. The notable exception are the damned metric ones. I still haven't found a good supply of those. (The G6R is filled with them)

OK, and last annoyance for awhile...

The Militia Lube, it is the same as Dow Corning Molykote 33 Low-Temp Grease, right?

This is also offered at McMaster-Carr, going to just get it all. I'm bound and determined to fix this thing - I HAVE TO.

MacDev is giving me the cold shoulder after they said they would take the marker, so it is up to me. I have the winter now. If by January I cannot still get it runner, then I'll utilize Boomer as an option.

Ugh... I remember the simply reliable - and uncompetitive - days of owning a Tippmann.

I've been lucky; all my MD stuff has worked great. But stories like yours are why I no longer shoot their stuff.

Militia Lube is slightly different than Dow 33, though Dow 33 will work in a pinch.

DOW 33 is not the same thing as Malitia Lube...but it will work fine.

MacDev USA staff are currently a bit busy with World Cup going on...it will take them a bit to get back into the swing of things...they should be a bit easier to talk with mid next week.

I believe his Drone to be screwed with by the staff at ANS.
Every Drone I have aired up out of the box from Aussie land was operating great. In fact my first one shot a consistant 285.

This is correct. I do not blame MacDev for the status of my marker. ANS Gear knows that they gave me a used marker, it was noticeably used from what I saw of the internals and the scarring in the anodizing all over.

I hate how this site lets them advertise. I also talked to MacDev about them, I hope they do something, but chances are nobody will pitch a fit about my problem.

Shoot, I'm up in Wisconsin. Nobody runs with a MacDev up here. The paintball players are all deer hunters that still shoot 98s.

Got another question.

I'm looking at the exploded view of my Drone in the manual. For the regulator I'm seeing 7 O-rings total: 018, 017, 016, 015 x 3, and 008. However, there are actually 8 O-rings in the regulator.

The O-ring missed in the diagram is the O-ring that is on the Inline Adjuster. Anyone have a size for that? Why don't they list that in the manual? This is probably the O-ring that is my problem and it is not even listed! It is not an 008 or an 011, I have to order another set of O-rings. Man...

I ordered all my O-rings from McMaster-Carr yesterday and got them today! Man, that is great service.

Ok...I do believe the regs on the Clone and Drone are the same internally.

So pulling my info from Boomer14 in this thread from a little bit ago you will find the two(yes two) sizes you need for the inline adjuster.
Check the link out since there is a bit of more info there that I am too lazy to type...I will say the exploded diagram for the Clone is much better, but still misses one of the orings on the inline adjuster.
So in fact, there are 9 orings in the reg itself.

Oh and yes...McMaster does in fact rock!

Cheers to that.

OK, update. I replaced ALL of the O-rings this time and... TADA!!! No leaks.

I got it to fire, I just need to go chrono and test it.

Man, this thing is figity! there appears to be only a few turns on the adjuster to go from reg leak to starving the marker of air. I hope I can get 270 somewhere in there.

I like this reg exploded view myself, compliments of me:

Gladiator regs always are on the sensitive side. They take very little movement to adjust.
