while i agree with EVERYTHING you said (this may sound racist, but) black people love the EVO lol i go to a school thats like 60% black, and about 80% of them have an EVO. i wouldnt be surprised at the 600k. the Droid did make android popular, no question about it.

Yea? Interesting.. Like I said Sprint didn't really have a presence in my hometown. The first time I ever held an Evo was at school less than 2 years ago. I guess I was being stubborn on that one. It wouldn't be to much of a stretch to think the Evo outsold the Droid. Hell I probably saw more commercials for the Evo!

Personally I like Android, and the root and s-off status i have on my thunderbolt, but to each his own.

If you are gonna make a poll you should at least know the correct OS names.
It's not RIM (that's the company name, Research In Motion) but BlackBerry OS or BBOS.
Windows Mobile isn't really used anymore, it was replaced by Windows Phone 7.
It's a big difference.
Latest Version of Windows Mobile:
Phone 7

your right about rim, but i could care less. and i used windows mobile as a broad term to cover wp7 and those using 8 dev.
anybody used ubuntu on their device? i was thinking about it. im pretty sure the tbolt can dual boot it.

I don't get the whole anti BBOS thing, for what it is and what it's supposed to do, BBOS is a pretty good phone operating system. it's a blackberry, not a galaxy s 2.

It's hopelessly outdated, and it needs a complete, 110 percent rewrite and rebuild. About the only thing that Blackberries are good for is email, and even then the only real benefit they have over Android/ios/etc. is public folder support in Exchange.
Once Activesync is upgraded to support them on the more "modern" OSes, there is no point in having a blackberry unless you really love the keyboard.

I have an iPad, which is nice... but it iOS feels like a toy compared to Android.
And honestly, the Android Market is much better than the AppStore IMO.

My bro dropped his Infuse in a case and the screen cracked no problem. I've dropped my LG Quantum numerous times without a case and besides a scratch in the rubber on a corner you can't even tell. You know why? Microsoft is against releasing ****. The original (1.3) Focus got pulled after it was having hardware issues and they forced Samsung to re-release a fixed version (1.4).

i cant tell you how many times ive dropped my droid and it was completely fine. ive played paintball and dived on it with it in my pocket. its fallen glass first onto the concrete parking lot numerous times and its was perfect. after about 2 years of use on that phone the digitizer went out and i used my upgrade to get an iphone 4 and the phone broke within 3 months of me having it so i went back to android and never looked back.
