With the first one over, it is time to start getting ready for Pump Challenge #2. There was a total of nine teams show up to the first event. It took place on the woods field at PBC Greenville on a field built specifically for this tournament. PBC did a great job getting it ready for us to play on. It was very challenging and seen several matched stalemate. Hats off to PBC and Ken Barrett for getting all of this set up. It was all a blast to play.
The weather was gloomy the first part of the morning with the sun coming out soon as play started. The sun lasted most of the prelims but on the last game of the prelims the rain started coming down and it never stopped. The refing staff ended up having to call the game due to lighting. Luckily the prelims were over by then and the finishing order was decided by the order of finish in the prelims.
Like I posted I didn't go back to the tent to check. It was raining way to hard. I was going off of what people were telling me afterwards. I will try to find out all that info. It may take me a couple of days.
Yeah I gotcha Tig, I belive we had 435 points and the one above us was 470.
We were coming back at the end but oh well, got our butts handed to us the first few games. Not to bad for one of our guys with his 3rd time playing pump ever.
We did bad all day. We stalemated about 4 games which only gave us like 40 points per game. We straight up lost a couple and only hung the flag on one game. I think we will play much better next time.
Soga, I finally got the points up on the site....You were 5 points behind us from the info I was given. Like I said, it was pouring rain and I did not get the final scores until a few days later from Ken. I will try and take a photo of the score board at the next event.
