All this time, I thought the ACE (anti-chop eye) system on the Mag was broken. I found out there is an adjustment screw for eye sensitivity. A system so redundant just has to make you smile.

NEVER GOING TO EVER CHOP PAINT AGAIN.

But, I've never, in the many years of playing, had an issue with chopping paint. Ever. I can't even remember the last time I broke paint.

I break paint every time I play. Course im rough as all hell with my M98. I remember the last time I played I stuck the barrel straight into the ground a few times trying to push myself up from a commando crawl.

*Tippmann

and I've always babied my A-5. I don't hardly use it anymore, though. I believe the last time was in Feb. for the scenario game. My 98's don't count. I don't think I've ever actually used them. lol

I never used my A5 in a game. I refurb'd it, modded it and sold it before I got the chance.

I just find it a lot more user-friendly. Don't ask me why.

Maybe I'm just biased. The last time I legitimately used a 98 in a game must have been 2007 or even earlier.

I wish I still had it. I love the teardown time on them. The MP5 mag really hindered it though.

Next time.

Hah. Try tearing it down with the LPK. A socket wrench is needed in addition to allen keys.

I still think I have one of the best shooting A-5's. I need to get rid of the WAS board, though. It keeps getting stuck on full auto and I end up shooting my own people in the back. LOL

I was amazed by the teardown time the first time I did it. Then I realized I never tear my 98 down so it really wasn't a must have feature.

I never used to mind tearing my stuff down at the field. Now, it just drives me nuts when something breaks, especially in the DM with its 15 or so o-rings just in the bolt, can, tophat, etc. without even mentioning the LPR, HPR, or ASA.

I hear that. My Rainmaker was the worst because it could leak in about 5 different places and it was never the same place the next time.

And that's why I bring multiple guns to the field. My DM was acting up this past weekend, so I stayed away from the airball fields, took out my Mag, and had a good time the rest of the day.

My temper isn't nearly as bad when I'm at home with all of my tools and replacement parts.

You know what to do. Just give it to me.

JK. I don't know enough or have any parts for any Intimidators. Although, it's been that one gun I've wanted since the beginning of time.

That's because you shoot mechanical blowbacks and there's nothing wrong with that.

The only thing I ever did to my Tippmann is throw oil in it.

However, with the work I've done to my A-5, working out the kinks was a PITA.

True, true.

I wonder how hard it would be to make a vertical stick feed. Kind of like the SMG-68.Probably pretty hard since I would need a left feed hole. I wish I had an aluminum welder.

There you go again.. trying to cut *** up. lol

Then again, I used to be exactly like you with trying to modify everything. That was, until I came to the realization that I didn't have the time, money, or resources to complete anything I started.

I know. I still need to finish up my horizontal tank mod and start my M98 pump before I start anything else.

M98 pump should be relatively easy. It's just eliminating the blowback gas without being super ghetto. That is the difficult part.
