if i were to get my hands on an Image spec matrix, is there anyway to "undo" the mod if i ever wanted to ??
(a friend of mine is selling his, and my team mate might want to buy it, but will eventully want to get it anno'd) could i just remove the spool w/ the rock on it, and replace it w/ the one from mine (since i have a trinity there now ) ?? and then get another 'plug' where the hose goes ??
You can't undo it. You can anodize it, then get a chamber plug (or volumizers ). And when you send it in to ano, get a raw Trinity, and have it matched!

hehe
You can't undo it, but you could buy all of Fatty's products to solve your problems
But seriously, that would work out really well, but I have another question, why don't you just leave the mod that's already on it on?
he's fine leaving it the way it is, but one day in the future, he would like to get it anno'ed up and i thought i heard that you can't take the rock off, which makes getting anno pretty hard. i guess what i meant to say was "can it be taken apart so that it can be anno'ed"
however, i went ahead and talked to a TMC tech, and he said it shouldn't be a problem at all.
A trinity will not work on an Image mod gun unless you undo the Image mod (internally). You can take the rock off, though most people have a lot of trouble when they do try to take the Image mod transfer spool out.
Be careful, cause there's not a lot of those parts left.
The Image Mod undoes itself once you dip the body in those acids. The loctite holding in the ball bearing will deteriorate and no longer seal. I'm not sure if the ball bearing would fall out or just remain loose inside there. We would have to slightly redesign the back spool of the Trinity, its not rocket science. The Image spools are hard to remove, I think mainly because of the miniscule orings that are used. I think it should be easy to remove, but the orings will get diced.
ANYWAYS, shameless? Perhaps. Fat? You bet. Do the 2 have any correlation? Who knows.
