I'm not positive but I think those were actually laser engraved not anodized meaning the entire gun was once the same color as the scoop in the side and they lasered off the rest of the ano. If that's the case then they cant be done in different colors

Yea that one! A friend of mine has one and I got to play with it for a couple of hours. Looks cool in person and grabs alot of attention. Never heard of lasering off anno. Would be sick if I could get something similar done. Thanks for the info though

Its also called laser etching, it just removes the anodizing and shows the bare aluminium. You could change the accent color (the purple on the gun pictured) but not the silver since that's just the color of the metal. Any company that offers laser engraving/etching should be able to do that for you.

These were annod like that. They were aggressive factory teams guns last year. No etching.

My first MacDev gun. Just dyed and installed a violent trigger to match.



Also glued a piece of oring behind the trigger's stop screw so that it wouldn't mark up the gun. Sorry my camera sucks at super close shots.

Now for my rationale...

I mostly play woodsball/walk-on/scenario paintball, so wanted something a little more biased for the woods, rather than at home on a speed ball field. I used to own an Angel A1 Fly in Satin Brown/Olive like this one...

...and thought the colour scheme would suit my Clone.

I'm thrilled with the result, and can't wait for my next outing.
