AMC requires a special sportbike training course if that's what you're going to ride. Speed Triple doesn't fall in the category because it doesn't have fairings, but is just as rowdy as any true sportbike. Looooophole.

get out after 4 and chase money ala gs9-12 vs firefighting do anywhere from 4-8 or more years and u can only get a gs7 job since that's the highest they hire "externally" at, gs8s and up are internal or current dod firefighters. ya it's a desk job, but hey u have the weekends to find your adventure.

trust me action in fire protection is rare, I'm lucky: 3 wildland fires, one b-2 crash, 2 aircraft engine fires, 1 water rescue, a couple of base housing and off base house fires, the occasional auto accident and medicals....oh ya and the thousands of false alarm activations!!

most guys will go on and make chief or retire without even seeing half the response volume.

6c0 is critical but I think only in 2nd term or people who are going to reenlist. that's probably why there's no enlistment bonus only a reenlistment one. says alot about the opportunities after just 4 yrs

Initially i thought i was going to do photography or TACP, but photography is a 2nd tier job now, and TACP i'll just retrain into if i still want to do it.

My fear is being "that guy" but i've done a pretty good job at avoiding it so far. I can spot a Farva a mile away.
