No, that's not what's making me bring it up. It's that he thinks he's something special because of the grades he's getting at a **** school that doesn't even make CS majors take any programming courses until their senior year...
He's going to know nothing when he gets on the job but thinks he's way ahead of everyone else for now.

Yep.

Pliant multiquote on phone, but a restriction on guns is an "infringement.". Doesn't have to be a ban on all guns. Shall not be infringed.
|
Meh, we're never going to agree on this. Oh well.
Related to guns: I kinda want a 20 gauge bird gun. Also, since it looks like my VZ is non transferable but grandfathered in, I'm buying a 5 round magazine and taking it hunting for ****s and giggles. I have to assume a 7.62x39 would drop a deer from a short distance. Pretty sure the round is pretty ****ty past 100 yards.

7.62x39 is substantially slower than 5.56 but it will definitely drop a deer from pretty far if you can hit it.
Heavier bullet = more inertia, doesn't slow down quite as much

There is much more to factor in than weight. 45 is a heavy bullet but very slow. Pretty sure a slow bullet has less effective range.

Yeah, I'd be more concerned about the accuracy of the round out past those distances, not the knock down power of the actual bullet. It would just be for the hell of it, I have actual hunting rifles that I know do a better job.

At a mile and a half the bullet will strike with more energy than a 44 magnum point blank...yeah I think you can kill him.

People outside are discussing gun control. Would rather go talk to them than finish audit.

Of course I know that it can kill him. The concern is the accuracy of the round and if I could produce nice groupings past 100 yards.

Lots of people around 2-3MOA based on 100 yards. I'm sure it'd be more than usable at 150-200 for hunting.
