Not a bad stringing job. Did you use the big bag tutorial on TLF? I use that style to string most of the 10D heads I string, and most of the time the results are awesome, I'm currently using it on my X2.

http://jimalax.com/ for all your stringing supplies. I don't use anything but Jimalax, stuff is great, prices are cheap, people are nice, nothing else can compare.

http://lacrosseforums.com/ for any tutorials, go to the Stick Doctor's Lounge and go to the tutorial list, and you've got some great stuff in there to get you started on stringing.

Also, anyone asking what they should string in their head, it really depends on what you like. Personally I've used 5D, 6D, 10D, customs, Pita, and really each has their own advantages and disadvantages. If all you want is amazing hold, go for 5D. If you want a nice hold and something that still throws somewhat like 10D, grab some 6D. I'm yet to try 7 or 8D, but that'll be next for me to try, it looks like it's a nice combo between awesome hold and awesome release, but we'll see. Your basic 10D is probably your best bet if that's all you've used before and it's your first time stringing. Honestly though, in my opinion, in perfect weather conditions a Pita is the most amazing pocket in the world, amazing hold and an insanely smooth release. Just try some different stuff out and you'll see what you like.

Not to my knowledge, and if it is it is definitely not enforced.

I think that's NCAA rules, may be highschool rules too, but it refers to the actual mesh being one color, so you can't have like blue mesh with a white circle on it. Inteded to stop hidden ball tricks.
