This is from last week, but I'm sure it's about the same.
Unflexed, no pump. Nothing special.

**** waiting until late 2013. If he goes hard on shoulders and chest, he will only need 3 or 4 months.

lol, glad you found something to compliment. Not worried about it, should look pretty good in a couple of months when my cut is over. Also picked the most "unflattering" picture because I feel that's reality. I want to see how I look "every day" versus pumped/flexing. Not that there's something wrong with taking those pics. just my preference.

Wasn't a fan of the wide grip on pulldowns. Couldn't reach my chest due to mobility, so ROM wasn't consistent. I'm just gonna bring my grip in a bit until I can hit my chest so I can make sure to not just pull shorter as I fatigue.
Other than that, good workout. Still loving the preacher curls.

So, I lost 5# over the long weekend. Woops! Oh well, helped jump start my cut. 2500 kcal/day from now on, see where that gets me. Also, have to start running so i can do a 5k in March.
A1
Bench 190x1 preA. Nice and explosive
DB Bench 80x8,4
70x5
60x6,4
Pec Deck 90 5x12
Standing calf raise 150x20,75x20
Push Press 135x1 preA. Didn't seem to help me, not going to bother as it just wastes more time imho.
HS Iso shoulder +75x8,4
+65x5
+55x6,5
DB raise 15 5x12
CGBP 120x11,5
105x5
95x5
Rope tri pushdown 32.5 4x12
Run/walk 22 minutes. Ran for 2x .5mi after warmup and at the end. Going to slowly build up the mileage of the running, and then increase the speed once I hit 3mi, if I have time before the race.
Goals for this cut are to drop well below 15% bf, hopefully around 12-13(ie visible abs). Also, to maintain my current strength levels, if not improve. Starting weight is 185#, goal weight is 173#. Weird number, but it seems that's my body's set point and I don't feel like fighting it. I was around 14-15% last time I hit that weight, and I've REALLY noticeably increased my muscle mass since then, so I'm hoping I'm above 150# LBM now.

Weighted Chin +55x2 preA
V-grip Pulldown 187.5x7

Db curl 45x10,5

cable curl 30 5x12
OHP 95 2x6, 135x1
ran 1 mile @ 7mph
I tried the ab wheel when I got home, could only do 3 reps. I think the deadlifts really took it out of me hard. All time PR, and some of those reps were a HUGE struggle. But I kept everything tight and locked in, and it felt extremely good. I had "stress marks" ALL over my upper chest/shoulders/upperback. I thought it was my sunburn for some reason, until my wife said something. broken capillaries EVERYWHERE lol

harry, do you feel that having your own thread to post your workouts in is an extra incentive to stay on track??
im looking for a little bit of extra motivation and i've been debating starting my own thread to log my workouts and my nutrition from time to time

Not particularly. I do enjoy being able to easily find my past workouts when I'm not at home with my log book. Also I like looking over the progress I've made.
But the truth is, I really enjoy my time at the gym. I look forward to lifting and the hard work. It's very rewarding to me. I don't see it as a chore, or a means to an end.
Its one of the few things in my life where I get out exactly what I put in, and I've had some success in a physical endeavor, which as a fat nerdy kid I never experienced.
I can't understand spending all this time lifting if you(general you, not you Andrew) didn't enjoy doing it.
