Exactly what types of guides do you speak of? Like guns and equipment? If so, those are relatively easy to find within their own sections in the stickies. If I'm not on the same page as you on this, then explain what you mean.

Sometimes they aren't. Links die, threads get unstuck, that sort of thing.

Something similar to this (subforum over on customcockers) would be cool, I think. Maybe even do it similar to the reviews section here, considering the fact that CC has 41 articles for really only 1 gun. Would make it easier to add user-generated content somewhere easy to find, as opposed to having to hope something gets stickied or added to an existing sticky. Some subforums are better than others about that sort of thing, too. The high-traffic ones seem to be pretty good, the others kinda fall by the wayside.

It works on custom cockers because they are all for Autocockers. Would a forum with hundreds of guides really be easy to sort through? Wouldn't it be easier to just go to the Manufacturer's forum and look through the stickies?

Forum navigation is all you need. Find the appropriate section, check the stickies, run a search, and post asking for what you need if the previous steps don't get it for you. You can find the information you need in a matter of minutes if you know how to look. I'm not saying this to be rude, lazy, or give you the answer you didn't want to hear, but honestly learning how to efficiently search for information is a skill that you can benefit from for the rest of your life.

A forum with hundreds of guides wouldn't nescescairly be easier to sort through but you can use the custom search in the tool bar and bring up threads with a particular word that are only in that sub forum.

Alot of times guides are posted in the most random place and not to be found by anybody unless you know exactly what it is and where it is.

I'm not against this idea. Someone want to start posting links in this thread so we can see what you guys think should go in there?

Here's an idea and example of one that is in a random location.

Good example.

The first step in making this a reality is to start collecting links to these existing threads. We'd use those links to seed the forum plus it will help convince mods that this would be a good thing.

So post some links to threads!
