From memory, that is "The Mule" - very early prototype and the one he was showing off around PBE time.
The final product is different although how it works will be the same ie stack-tube spoolvalve...

Yeh i realize it's the mule but it's the first actual shooting video I have stumbled upon. Super quiet marker, i was just saying the shakenbake hopper and shaking was annoying. I'm sure the final product will be more aesthetically pleasing.

That is one of the 'mules' we had done, the only one that is assembled into a final working gun. The other two were test beds.

There is only small differences in the drivetrain design between the mule and the final drivetrain.

The reason to call it the mule is in the automotive industry, the mule is an existing body that they run the new internals in. Say, for the Chevy Volt they first ran the drivetrain in the Malibu chassis 'mule' while they were working on the externals. The mule has the drivetrain, all we did was whip up a body to drop it in. Kinda of like the Mini that was hidden in an Ion by Simon. There really should be little difference between that gun shooting and the final gun.

So, not an early prototype, but the body to test the final drivetrain in. The original proof of concept and other prototypes were far more involved, built into several existing and some Merlin extrusion bodies. That is version 5, and has been ran nearly 2 years without any real problem, short of needing a better reg to keep up with the really light trigger.

What did you guys think?

I'm impressed with how quiet it is. MY necessities for any markers I purchase...Smooth, Quiet and having a large reg spacing. This looks to have those features and efficiency Efficiency never really "mattered" to me because I haven't shot a gun that could get more than 8-10 pods in years and never ran out of air like it (my field does full 4500-4600 fills so i always get a great fill). I am anxious to see an anodized electro product in a shooting video! Having go back to fill less is a convenience for me but will be appreciated.

I test diesel engines and we use mule engines for debugging test cells and new equipment. We run back to back data with a known motor and compare test data from one test cell to another using the same engine to verify repeatability and accuracy. If the numbers overlap all is well. It's a solid strategy and model.

The rattling of the paint in the hopper when "shaking and baking" is louder than the marker shooting. Awesome!

I love the feel of the action. It's quiet - and I can imagine quite smooth too.
VERY excited for this!

Nah, that was just some random guy with the gun at a pump event. Hence the old school shaker loader he had.

Note, it won't be HUGELY efficient - just a bit better then most spools. That is not the focus, more on reliable and smooth. Quiet was a nice surprise though.

Yep, that is what we did here - we just had this one together as a mech for playing with to test. We liked it so much in that format we never built an electronic version.

It is smooth - Not quite as neutral as a DM, right in the LUXE range? It really is a low surface area spooler in action, so the feel will be similar.

TBH you need to have a bit of 'feel' to it when shooting. I am so pumped for this marker - have been since you mentioned it months ago.
I love my Spoolies and this looks like it fixes the issues of spoolies and improves on certain aspects too.

If it's as smooth as a Luxe im sold. I have a DM12, Luxe's and a GT on its way. The DM feels like it is a smoother bolt but the barrel kinda pops upward. The luxe is quieter and more of a drawn out cycle so it doesn't bounce around as much to me. If you friend/coworker in the chicago area wants to bring one of your demo's or a electro version out to Fox paintball I will buy him a case of paint for his effort so me and my guys can try it out. There is a senario there on the 11th as well if you can have one done by then.

Send your money to... wait, damn.

Fingers are crossed for LL, after that he will have one in his hands for people to try in the area.
