You can't beat the price of the quickfire rapid for a TKL keyboard... and TKL's are usually higher price over full size keyboards. I just wish they didn't put the logo's on the face of the keyboard. I wish there was an affordable Winkeyless TKL key board. I can't get myself to pay $300 for a KMAC keyboard... and hard to get. For that price... I would rather get a Topre Realforce Keyboard. But the KMAC keyboards looks really nice though...

+2 for the tenkeyless quickfire. I think they actually updated it where they took off all of the branding. I love the mech keys

That's good news... I never liked the logo's on the QFR's... but now I would consider it. I'm glad I bought my TKL Filco at the time I was shopping for one. I just looked a amazon... and now they are going for $238.00. I got mine when they were $139.00. It went up $99???

So, how about those swivel office chairs, eh? I want something else to discuss besides overpriced keyboards.

I need a good table so I'm not hunched over on my coffee table when gaming. A good desk chair would be nice too.

Picked up a NIB (still sealed) i7-2600k on craigslist for $150. Feelsgoodman

It's OC'd to 4.5ghz right now, steady at 1.3v.

I know it's not a big deal, but I'm excited to have my first i7

Aight you jerseyshore looking mother****er, lets get this **** started... First you are going to want a case to hold **** in, mostly personal preference but spend atleast $40-60 on a decent one like this. Don't get one with 700 LED fans cause you will look like a ******.

Next a PSU, again go with what your heart desires but I reccomend 400+w and some good names like antec, corsair and that silversomethingorother, don't be a cheap *** and get some rosewell 320w PSU for $20.Dis ones aight, if you want to be all clean and fancy get a modular PSU (This means you can unplug some of the cables that you dont need stupid).

Now the balls of your computer, the mother****ing mobo. People round here seem to get wet when they see the ASRock Z77 Extreme4 but any Z77 mobo will do champ.

If the mobo is the balls, the CPU is the dick cause it does all the thinking. Now readers before might be going why pick an intel mobo before asking if he wants an AMD cpu. **** you *****, only morons buy AMD at this point in the game, keep up.

Anyways cpu, this one. The K stands for klokunzuter, which is german for fast as tits if you want it to be.

GPU, Nvidia 660 or 660 ti, not linking cause if ****ing tired just go on newegg and see which one turns you on the most and has some good reviews.Same dealio with RAM, 16 Gigs cause you wanna be able to add lense flare and Let the bodies hit the floor to your ****ty paintball videos(Levels by avcii if you are a bit more recent).

Now storage space, get one HDD for your ****ed up porn and an SSD for programs and OS. Again reviews will help but beware people love to ***** about stupid **** so filter out that crap.

I might have forgot something but I dont really care.

Lolz that was one of the funniest posts of advice I've seen in this thread. "Jerseyshore looking mother****er"

Also, at a $2000 budget he can spring for a lot more if he desired. I personally would probably stick with what you gave him and spend the rest on a nice pair of monitors, keyboard, mouse, and headset/mic.

It's unclear if he even needs any peripherals. If I was doing it again, and had that budget, this is what I'd get.

Coolermaster Storm trooper full tower
i7-3770k
H100i
Corsair Dominator Ram
Asrock Extreme4 mobo
Intel or Samsung SSD
3tb WD green HDD
2x GTX680 FTW
EVGA Classified SR2 1200w PSU

Since it's his first build, I'd venture to say that he does need some form of peripherals. Unless he's stealing them from a old family desktop. In which case I would still be buying all new peripherals with that budget.

They are around $450 a piece, so yes.

The FTW model is out of stock...still. I'd get these.

I priced it all out with the FTW model even though its out of stock. 8gb of ram and a 120gb SSD and its $100 over $2000 without a powersupply.

All about having a bigger e-peen

I personally can't even justify one 680.

$2000 is a good budget for a first time build. But when you start to think of what you want... and not what you need for a first time build... it's easy to go over $2000.

My build was $1300 with one 680 that cost $479, and it's nearly identical to the one I posted (minus the EVGA psu). It's easily doable.

Why does everyone flip out about things being necessary? First of all, gaming computers are not necessary. Second, that was a dream build. I'd love to have a super badass build, and of course I have no need for it. It's just cool to wish for.
