Whoa. This is either going to really hurt paintball, or be very good.

With this news, hopefully PSP will not monopolize the industry and make prices through the roof seeing as how that'll be the only outlet for national events....

Could be a good or bad thing depending on how PSP decides to run the 09 season.

well this really sucks for all ballers but if you look at it a different way this is actually good.

the 2 leagues have been taking money away from each other and have made it hard for one to thrive and for paintball to grow.

but now that its all one league this could open up many new doors for paintball to progress.

psp will get all the money now and we may get it back on tv.
and alot of other good things that could happen that i dont feel like listing also

there are in my mind 8 teams that only play pro NPPL and NXL. Lower down the divisions many teams are only one League. I think there will a small raise in Xball teams but a larger rise in 5 man teams.

They obviously arent idiots if they arent the ones bankrupt?

This has huge ramifications for paintball in general.

dropping 5man would be useless. Nppl adopted 5man just recently. having 5,7 and xball would be excellent

This may turn out to be a blessing in disguise. Now that paintball only has one professional format, it might be accepted as a more legitimate sport. Before it was confusing to outsiders (sponsors) that there was 2 accepted professional formats.

This doesn't necessarily mean that their operations are dissolved, although going away forever is a definitely possibility. I just think you'll see it in a different form following restructuring of their business.

WHAT THE ****..............is anyone really grasping the magnitude of this. Our arguably biggest and most commercial league just went under. Hope for paintball is dwindling.

Any chance the NPPL franchise could be bought by a new company?
