I love my Jetta. VW's tend to run forever. I've got a TDI, and average 45-50 MPG Right now, and its only getting better.

The Golf, I think for 2012 is AWD and has the Same TDI motor as the Jetta. The oly other model that is AWD and available in Diesel is I believe the Tiguan.

i have an 05 passat and im starting to hate it. premium gas, regular oil changes with synthetic oil, regular "heavy maintenance" at certain mileages, and a CEL light that i can't seem to keep off for more than a few months at a time.

maybe i got a lemon, but in hindsight i would be MUCH happier driving a toyota of some sort. the cool factor isn't there, but considering you can drive a toyota until the atomic half life of the materials its made out of, i'll take that trade any day.

premium gas is about 100 more per year given how much I drive. Because I'm buying new, I'm getting a 3 year full service warrantee, so I get free oil changes and all that, which is kinda cool. I also got more money back from insurance than what I paid for my impreza 3 years ago. I was expecting about 5000 less than what I actually got since they took into account the added on parts to my car and they gave me back sale tax. My parents qualify for 0 percent financing, which is pretty much free money.. Given all of that, I'm pretty much ready to make my purchase.

I drive a Dodge Stratus. Put over 100K on it in 3 years, passenger door panel is falling off, horn doesn't work, passenger mirror was kicked off (as seen in Cyru) windshield fluid doesn't dispense, headlight out even though it was just replaced a few months ago, and now occasionally when its in drive while stopped at a light, it will slip into neutral and rev up for a second before catching.
