New to the Family!

Hey guys thought id drop by and introduce myself, I just traded away my Etek 3 for an NT10. Been checking out the stickies and such for maintenance on these bad boys, ill throw some pics up when i get them, but for now here is the link to the fella who im getting the bad boy from! https://www.pbnation.com/showthread.p...832&highlight=

I'm not at all familiar with these guns other than i've seen how they shoot and heard great things about them performance wise. If any1 has any tips or tricks on tuning/maintenance or in all just any pointer on things to do or i may need please let me know.

Hope you guys all have a good one and thanks for any input!

Well,

When you get it play with it and if you have any problems or want to improve the gun ask away. Because there's a couple mods but some people prefer the nt stock.

I don't necessarily mean upgrades, more so tricks for tuning anything like that. I'm sure there is a sticky so I'll check through there and use the Almighty search function.

Welcome to the family!

The biggest leason I had to learn was to lube your bolt after every day of play! Do that, and you'll be golden most of the time!

Thanks!

I have an NT 11, and I have no problems with the marker and how it works. I think it's an excellent marker.

Having said that, I have read several readers on how much they love their BW mod. I believe it lowers your operating pressure, efficiency and such. Replacement parts are probably harder to find. If nothing else, it definately adds to your resale value by about $100 or more.

You can always get the NT11 internals and that will help with more solid performance, but it won't help as much as the BW mod.

If it was me, I would get it, and see how you like it. If it works well enough for ya, then why upgrade?

Thanks!

Right, I was jw if the bwing mod was worth it more than nt11 internals if I decided to do anything. Thanks though!

You'll definitely want to get a pressure tester. If you don't have the reg within the pressure range that the NT likes, then you're going to have problems and you wont end up enjoying the marker. It's only like $20 or something anyway.

You already mentioned the sticky, but make sure you read through the manual and actually understand it.

Ya, i think im gonna get the tester and i have the manual on my phone and PC been going over stuff slowly and multiple times lol.

I talked to billy today and he said the NT11 stuff wont do much of anything, after he gets done with modding my stuff in the 10 if i wanted it will be far superior.

But ill get it and play with it for a lil bit then decide if i want to go that route. Do you guys run mid pressure tanks or LP or what? cause im running like a 600psi ninja Cf 45/45 right now. I havent messed with the shims or anything in it cause well i havent had 2.

I'm running a Ninja 68/45 normal reg with no shims in it. It should be fine on any regulator, but there's no need to put a huge amount of pressure into the hyper 3 when it's just going to scale it down to 120ish anyway.

That's why I was wondering if should drop into the 300-400 range instead of around 600 where it's at now.

no shims is about 450 which is perfectly fine and makes it easier to turn the on/off knob.
