Wouldn't be a bad idea, but how are they going to accommodate twice the number of teams in the same amount of space? More fields, more refs, more staff, etc.

within the next few hours you'll all get your answers from Raehl who will provide infinite insight into this developing story.

Even know anyone who knows how this sport really works could have seen this after the Texas outcome, the firings at PB2X, the Shawn thing and Scott sitting in the trailer all week at SD and not talking to any vendors about next year.

If one more person says "it's the economy" I'm going to ban them from paintball. If Kee goes under tomorrow it might be the economy. A league is a different situation. This almost happened last year and to the PSP 2 years ago. It's all about spending and both leagues do to much of it.

HB great. Stadiums, silly.

I don't know why everyone keeps praying and hoping the PSP will accomodate for the NPPL players by incorporating the 7 man format when the company that had the 7 man format is now bankrupt!

Shouldn't the PSP keep chugging away with their current formats and keep doing what it is that has managed to keep them above water?

psp will get all the money now and we may get it back on tv.
and alot of other good things that could happen that i dont feel like listing also
this is the exact mentality that killed the nppl, NO ONE CARES ABOUT PAINTBALL EXCEPT PLAYERS PERIOD END OF STORY,, THOSE IDIOTS BK'D THAT LEAGUE WASTING MONEY ON TV STADIUMS ETC, JUST PUT ON GOOD EVENTS AND FIGURE OUT HOW TO MAKE MONEY SO IT WILL SURVIVE

hes right. signs were everywhere.

a video game was kinda a sign IMO, also making 5 man to attract more teams which means more loot.

Yes, the most commercially known league just went under but the remaining league has a very easy format for people outside of paintball to follow. The format follows a more "traditional" sport format because it runs on a point scoring system and it also has an easy game clock to follow. And on top of that, it should be more exciting for fans to watch PSP on TV than it was watching NPPL on TV when it aired on ESPN 2 a few years ago.

O, and I'm not a PSP fanboy. I like the 7-man format a lot but with NPPL spending more money on advertising than they could actually make, you kinda had an idea that PSP was going to be the league that would eventually end up surviving.

Terrible.
RIP Nppl.

Although not everybody enjoyed it NPPL helped alot of people make it big...and lots of teams will be missing this leage. Hopefully in the future Pacific Paintball can get things going again. For now, thank you for what you've done for the sport.

Wow, no more NPPL, that's crazy. I suppose there is a lot to consider and this may not mean a complete end to the NPPL, but that's an obvious possibility. It will be interesting to see how paintball as a how responds to this. Will other areas see increased activity, will the sport contract as a whole, etc.?
