you mean shorty reg...not shortly reg.

Anways, im not sure how high it goes. But that doesnt matter. You dont want to try this because it could lead to blowing the solenoid. The CP reg will work great with it.

I'd get the Long CP reg though.

Do not put more than 200psi into your Ion. The usual top is 180psi if you do not have a QEV. Virtually any aftermarket reg like a CP, Torpedo, Detonator, AKAs, etc. will work since it is capable of outputting a sub-200psi operating pressure. Always remember, the very first time you attach a tank to a new Ion or after changing anything in the air system (QEV, Hose, Reg, ASA, Tank) YOU MUST TURN YOUR REG WAY DOWN BEFORE APPLYING AIR. If you don't you risk blowing hoses or the noid.

Just bought one and want to understand more, in case things go south while in the middle of the game.

For instance, my Evil Pimp, they have clear statement that, operational pressure from reg to the marker need to run between 100-150 psi, but not exceed 175 or it will cause damage.

I wonder if ION have the similar warning, or Wonder what psi run this baby best.

Try my luck and see who know the best psi to serve this baby.

Without a qev installed 150-170 psi is a good setting. Most people say dont go over 200 psi but my manual says dont exceed 180 psi. Once you have a qev installed, you can drop your input down to 100-130 psi.

Get your Ion and try it out. All of them will be a little bit different depending on the circumstances.

Personally, I run my Ion at about 140-150 psi going around 265fps (because I play indoor). But if you play outdoor you might be allowed to chrony higher which would leading to raising the pressure.
