Need help on detents on custom Ion

I need some inputs from you guys please. I have made a P90 with an airsoft body and an up'ed Ion inside. I installed some Kila magnetic detents on it since the oem ones were shoot. Now, I'm sure you know that the detents stay in place in the breach because of the exoskeleton over it. The issue is that I don't use that skin, only the breech, so nothing hold the detents inside. I tried a small tab of duct tape over both holes in the breech, but is seems that the magnet too strong or something, and the plastic nubs don,t extent in the breech and it ends up with multiple paint loading in the gun. Any ideas on how to fix this? I don't have enough space to cut down a part of the exoskeleton and to insert it in the frame.

Pic to figure out what the hell I'm talking about:

It sounds like the magnets are in backwards, the delrin nub should repel the rubberized magnet. electrical tape or duct tape should hold them in.

It's not clear in the picture, but the feed neck is almost lined with the detents as is the eyes and eyes harness. So putting something completly around the breech won't work as it would interfere with the neck and harness (thought about it already). Tried pieces of duct tape, but I think heat made the tape a bit gooey and it moved around. I removed the tape which had become loose, and the magnet was stuck on it and it's too far to push back the detent itself.

Have you tried a pipe/hose clamp and small bits of plastic/metal to apply pressure to the detents? Takes up practically no space, can be adjusted/removed with common tools, and it definitely won't come loose on its own. The only downside is that it might scratch the outside of the breech. You might need to use two, one on each side of the feedneck, with the aforementioned strip of stiff material running between them.

I'm not thinking about a pipe that goes completely around. I'm thinking a "C" shaped piece that just covers the eyes/detents.

You could also use a pipe that would fit snugly over the breech, and remove material on one spot that would allow the feedneck to fit into the breech.
