It's where the valve stays open. The gen4 has a separate,sealed off air chamber (the rocket cap) where the spring and most of the poppet reside. It reduces most of the force from the HPR that helps close the valve in other Intimidator models. In older models the spring AND the pressure from the HPR close the valve, in gen4's it's almost entirely the spring.
Float is the exact opposite of the issue related to purging (read below.)
When it was released they had a delrin cap/cup seal on the poppet, if air got past the cap into that chamber it took more force to open the valve (tension of the spring + compressing the air in the chamber.) The revised brass poppet eliminated that issue.
